Cool The 2008 Barrett-Jackson Auction Thread

It's time for the 37th Annual Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction Event: January 12-20, 2008 in Scottsdale, AZ.

I love this event and watch it every year. Live coverage begins tonight (January 15 2008) on SPEED TV at 7 PM Eastern! I envy all you lucky people who can see it in person!!! One of these days...humm.

Post your thoughts, impressions, and cool pics by you people who are there!

Now, what would YOU bid on if money was no object???...humm!!!

Oh no, say it ain't so! John Schneider's General Lee is on the blocks AGAIN! Remember this from eBay?...haha. Don't think it'll go for $10+M this time.

I've been looking forward to the 2008 auction for a while now! I've caught myself watching the 2007 reruns more times than I can count.

I'll definitely be watching.

I was there Sunday. Good day to go as there was no auction and it was only $15 to get in and crowd was small. Watched Robosoris(sp) chew up a Saturn and set it on fire. There were just too many cars that I wanted to even try to pick one!

Easy answer for me to that one, Duesenberg. Any model any type.

It is a bugger we don't get any coverage of the BJ event here in OZ. It must really be something to experience.

I'd like to see a resto-mod convertible Pontiac like a Catalina or early GTO or something.

When I was a kid my neighbor had a 4 door convertible Elecrta 225 Buick.

We called it "Land Shark"

The auction really brings me back.

Talk about strange stuff or what. How about a Rolls Royce honey wagon or a Peterbuilt trike that weights 4000 lbs? The engine weighs 3000! The RR was crappy overall BTW, but the sewer sucker in the trunk worked just fine. The stuff is selling though. An old 32 Ford Rat Rod with painted on rust just went for $15,000.
