Well, you certainly have been busy with the mods. Still, we would like to see pics of what you did. I'm very impressed that you actually made your own exhaust tips. Hope it was far cooler in Utah than it was in Cali today!

it was into the 100's for the first time this yr. I took some pics with my phone yesterday, if someone wants to see a close up pictures of anything else lemme know. this first one shows how cool it is up close, I also like the fact that my turn signals still come through, i like it!
These are the tips for my car, those who've hung around my car much can tell ya that they couldn't really see any exhaust on my car so it looked like i was driving around a v6 300. well i finally broke down yesterday and made some tips. we had some leftover steel tubing and so cut and angled them, cleaned up the edge with a grinder and ran some steel wool over it to give it brushed look. I think it helps set the silver off some more plus for the most part I'm de-chroming the car piece by piece for a special image I'm gonna give the car, put it this way if things play out right it'll be significantly different than all the 300's at SF next year. Everyone who i've bounced the idea off of is way stoked about it.
this is just me with the car at a show the club went to on fri. I liked the pic since it showed the mad eyes better than the other pics i took of it. on a side note, our club won two trophies, one was a sponsors best pic and the other was in the 80's and newer class. Any time we can beat out the corvettes for the newer car categories is always a sign that we really got something goin!
well thats it. tell me what ya think!

Wow, this was quite the thread to plow through while on medication! Congrats on the great looking lids on the ride and the trophies won by your club. Keep up the good work!

Thanks danno! i'm glad you cruised through the thread while under the influence of drugs.lol! I hope it was at least halfway entertaining for ya.

On another note, we participated in another car show. One of the local dealerships sponsored an all mopar show. It was great! tons of LX's showed for this one and we recruited a few more club members. The only down side was that most of the awards seemed rigged. One guy brought a new srt8 challenger and won first place, don't get me wrong, it was beautiful, however I'm not sure it should mean you instantly must win 1st place. Its ok, I was more pissed about the awards given to people who were good buddies of judges and others associated with the event. It was still a wonderful time had by all. the highway patrol even brought their newly built supercharged charger police interceptor. That thing was so stinking cool! I'll post a pic or 2 another time.

Sounds like a good show other than the 'fixed' awards. That does happen at times even though it's not fair/ethical. Getting some new members to your club was definitely a winner in my book!

Keep up your good modding and let me know if you received my email sometime back.

Yea, You can't go to shows expecting to win. You just got to go and have a good time. Not that you were expecting to win but its just a good rule of thumb.

True. It was one of those things where we all kinda figured we weren't gonna win. still shines a poor light on how things were judged. its ok. i think gaining more club members was what made going to the show infinitely more worth it! That and everybody on lawn chairs under a tree behind the cars just shootin the breeze.
