Im Ticked Off at Staples!!!

Ok heres the deal. I ordered a camera from Staples on Sunday and they told me that this was a "next day" deliver item so I should get it on the 4th (Tuesday) Well of course they charged my cc with the quickness and I call them to confirm everything and they tell me the delivery date has changed to the 7th! WTF!!! I cannot have this camera show up late! My question for you guys is...
Have you ever ordered anything from Staples and if so how long did it take for you to get it? We dont have a Staples in TX. so I had to phone in the order. Anyone in TX order anything from them lately?

Thanks in advance

Well, I just placed an order for a Multi Function Printer from Costco online in the late evening last Wed. It said I would have the unit in 7-10 business days. To my surprise, it arrived 1 business day later on Friday (since the order could not have been processed till Thursday.) Usually you are being quoted the worst case scenario for delivery. I have a feeling that you will see the camera tomorrow.

it could also have a lot to with where you live. if you live in the middle of no where its gonna take a while, whereas if you live in a major city on the same coast as their warehouse, you'll get it very quick. for instance, i live in D.C. and Verizon has a warehouse right outside of D.C., so whenever I order anything from them, it is always here the next day. It all depends on where you live and where distribution centers are.

Thanks guys. I live in Austin and they are shipping it from California. The warehouse here in TX didnt have any so it couldnt be delivered next day. So they're saying it should be here on the 7th. BUT with my luck something will go wrong and I wont get it til monday. They did tell me that they get new items on Tuesdays so if the Texas warehouse gets one tomorrow it will be shipped tomorrow and I'll have it by wed or thurs.
Cross your fingers for me guys!

Hey, I bought one of those buttons a couple of years ago. The money is supposed to go to charity. I used it on a woman across the street who "comes over" and press it all the time cuz she is...haha.

Nice.

I have that problem with Newegg every now and then, since their company is based not far from here, I only really order from them either if it's cheaper, or if I don't mind paying a couple bucks more to have something in the next day or two.

Problem is, Newegg is one of the slowest stores to ship things - they're almost as bad as Amazon in that respect, it can take 2 or 3 days for things to leave the office. And that's if it leaves CA, if it doesn't, it can come all the way from NY (it's happened before).

So yeah, I consider them, but I don't really like them much anymore. They can't touch Apple, I've ordered from them as late as 6PM and had the stuff early the next morning.
