I think in a way they may be Michael. Not 100% sure, but I think someone did a search on something and it took them to here. I believe it's a good thing when that happens.

They are the Google Bots and Yahoo Slurp Spiders plus some others who scan all the pages and then index them in their search engines.
They literally scan the page and then all the words on that page can be looked up when they index it (sometimes a few days on popular websites and a few weeks on not so popular websites)

To better understand this do a search in google on anything. When the results come up, click the "cached' word at the bottom of each topic and you will find a snapshot that the google bot took on that they. You will see what date its was copied on.
This is how most stuff you look up comes up in google.

If you want to see how many Google Bots and Yahoo Spiders are online then click this link.
http://www.300cforums.com/forums/onl...&wh o=spiders

They are like stalkers because the follow users into threads and if anything gets updated then they are quick to update the indexes.

Bernie, I am sure with the amount of posts you do half of them are assigned just to you.

You may be on to something there. I can't tell you how many times I look at Who's Online and so many of them are looking at threads I've started, even 3 years ago. Suddenly I feel crawly and itchy.

EDIT: They should call them Crabs or Body Lice...haha. Maybe mechanized dandruff.

Bernie
