I had always figured clays would make shooting a shotgun prohibitively expensive. Once I saw that you don't fire as many rounds with a shotgun as you do when you shoot a pistol (I shot about 100 rds of 12ga...shoulder was sore the next morning lol) and how much fun it is to shoot something that moves (especially when the people you are with load up 2 traps with true pairs for you to shoot, the rangemaster comes over to tell you that he probably won't allow this but go ahead and give it one try with a pump action, and then when you hit all of them he says "ok, I'm going to go back to the clubhouse and shut up now")

BTW, I think waiting periods for people who already have a handgun (and since I bought it in MD they know that I already have a handgun) and the rule that you have to buy in your state of domicile only exist to make like harder for students. My waiting period will actually be 2.5 weeks and I have to spend $300 in gas to get my HK.

that is a long wait. I wonder if they realize that the people that buy handguns this way aren't the one's committing the crimes.
I love trap and skeet. I think it is the fact that I can see what I'm aiming at explode (or not sometimes) don't have to look through a spotting scope to see if I hit the target or not.
