Why is Davidson awesome? The trustees are paying out of their own pockets for ticket, lodging, and travel for any current students who will attend the game in Detroit.

They want as many fans as possible. Each round that the school advances equals more money. I would like to see Davidson and Kansas in the final of the Midwest regional.

True, they want as many fans as possible, but consider that the tickets allotted for the school were sold by noon that same day, so it's not like that was going to be an issue. Plus, I get the feeling that all of the greater Detroit area will be cheering us on, us being the underdogs and all. Man, I wish I were one year younger.

Also, they are reimbursing people who already paid for stuff.

The CBS Early Morning Show's weather forecasts are being broadcast from my alma mater's student union tomorrow from 7-8:40am.

I would like to know how many tickets Davidson got compared to Wisconsin. It's not fair to the small schools because they could sell way more tickets than they do.

I think in this instance they actually each get 1250. I know Davidson got something like another 1000 since the first 1250 sold out so quickly, but I'm not sure if they actually got them from NCAA or if they just bought them from Ticketmaster or something.

Where we did get the shaft is when we would play Duke or UNC and they'd only make a handful of tickets available to us. On the flipside when they would play us at our "home" (we'd rent the Charlotte Colesium and nowadays the Bobcats Arena, so not really home), we would be forced to make many tickets available and share profits.

Just to let you know, even though I went to Furman and am a huge Heels fan, I'll be pullin' hard for Davidson Friday night. I'd love to see them knock out Kansas for us! But however it goes, it's been a great ride so far. If the Badgers take them the least bit lightly, they'll regret it. Go Cats!

If anybody knows a busing service that can provide buses to Detroit, you might want to tell them to call Davidson College. It's not a money problem, but just a locating buses problem. So far, they've come up with about 400 seats worth of busing, but they need another 800 more (well, they needed that, it seems once people realized there is a shortage of buses they started to decide to drive if they could to make room for those who can't, but they still need some).

Definitley. I wanted them to beat Georgetown, but now no matter how it ends, I'm happy. Still though, it seems to me that it's very possible that they'll beat Wisconsin, so I'm rooting. If only I could find a ride to Dtown from Richmond.

OMG! For the first time ever you can buy Davidson apparel at the Charlotte airport! Even the ****'s Sporting Goods in the region are apparently selling stuff. Given that you have never been able to find our stuff outside of our bookstore before, this is pretty amazing.
