I don't suppose we have any Davidson grads on here, do we? I was the newspaper's sports photog (and the most serious one they ever had pretty much) for 3 years and followed these guys around. (Richard's Photos- powered by SmugMug tourney photos are photographic diarrhea because the people wanted me to be not-so-selective for those games)

I am so glad they are a 10 seed. They were talking 9 or 8, but as usual we got shortchanged, but happily this time that may work to our benefit (IIRC a 15 has in history beat a 2 before).
It just stinks that I've graduated. I won't even be in attendance this year (well, I'm working on that), let alone sitting on the court next to the Washington Post like last year and SI the year before that. Not to mention that arena is going to be rocking (we were louder than OSU IN OHIO, louder than UMD in Buffalo, playing Gonzaga in Raleigh...this'll be a madhouse). Oh, and we're coming off a TWENTY-THREE game winning streak. Sigh...those were the days.

The whole school is 1600 kids and it's very academics oriented (for instance, some of the starters two years ago had to take an exam the morning they left for Ohio). Nobody had heard of us it seemed. Then we played Ohio and some people were vaguely familiar. Then we took on the Terps (for the record, we had Lefty Dreisell first) and while it was another loss we finally seemed to make a name for us.

This year it'll be a win, I feel it in my bones.

Not a grad but I do watch them when they are on. What a schedule they had this year with UNC, Duke, and UCLA. I like to see the small schools or the so called mid majors pull the upsets and win. In respect to the game this year it should be a close game. But I'll be rooting for the Zags to win (my favorite team). Davidson will have the advantage of playing close to home in Raleigh though. This won't be like playing Elon. Had to throw that in there. I was looking at going to the Raleigh site but decided on Tampa. Western Kentucky and Vanderbilt both play there. I live a little over an hour from each school. Plus a friend of mine was the SEC player of the year at Vanderbilt back in 2000. Well all I have left to say is GO ZAGS!!!

Official Davidson tickets have been sold out, so I'm waiting tomorrow before buying mine so I know where the Davidson cheering section is.

Curry will get his points but he also shoots quite often. I think the zags will be too big for them inside. Really the key to the game I think will come down to the point guard postion. Who wins the battle between the two point guards. The guy for Davidson that leads the nation in assists or Pargo who is really athletic and quick. We''ll see.

Congrats to your Wildcats for making the Sweet Sixteen with a good chance to make the Elite Eight with the way they are playing. Man did Curry have two good games.

THANKS!!!! Just got back a little while ago. AMAZING!!! Sweet Caroline, oh oh oh (if you have to ask, your volume was too low)! Curry has yet to have a bad tournament game - don't forget he put up 30pts against UMD as a freshman last year, though that year it wasn't enough.
