What's up with politicians these days? Can't seem to keep it zipped up...haha. Well, the mayor of Detroit is in some hot water now and seeing as this is the Motor City, Chrysler LLC saw fit to comment.

Chrysler LLC Statement in Response to Recent Litigation Related to the Mayor of Detroit

Auburn Hills, Mich., Mar 26, 2008 - Chrysler LLC has deep roots in Wayne County. When the Company was first organized in 1925, its original headquarters was located in Highland Park, Mich.

Furthermore, Chrysler has been a long-standing community partner with the city of Detroit, through challenging times and successful endeavors. This includes productive collaborations on the Detroit Winter Blast (2005 - 2008); the Super Bowl XL (2006); the Detroit Indy Grand Prix (2007); and with the United Way for Southeastern Michigan (1989 - 2008) and the Detroit Fire Department’s historic 1929 firehouse which is fondly known as “The Chrysler Firehouse” during the North American International Auto Show (2002 - 2008).

The Company will continue to support outreach efforts that enable growth for Detroit and the region. Between The Chrysler Foundation and Chrysler LLC, multiple Detroit organizations benefited during 2007 from $8.28 million in financial contributions invested in the city.
