life sized cutouts

well this is really off topic, but i need some assistance. I am opening a few stores around north carolina, tennessee and mississippi and I am not much into decoration (just pay someone else to do it) but I thought about a few things that would be relevant to my work. So anyway, I need some life sized cutouts of people and certain things. Now I have looked and you can get a company to make these for you, but I just heard that you can get a program and make them for yourself, without having the really big printer. I was told that it prints on 8 1/2 x 11 paper and it comes out like a puzzle. stick it to some card board and cut it out and boom, there you have it. Does anyone know what I am talking about or am I dreaming up crazy things again?

Professional services can wait, rasterbate
The Sect of Homokaasu - The Rasterbator (warning, this makes images that look kinda like an impressionist painting i.e. they look bad up close. I'll see if I can find the kind that makes a smooth image)

I know there's one called blockposters (first google result if you search block poster), but it only lets you upload 1MB images. Maybe somebody else will chime in.

Check out this website:
http://www.photocutouts.com/youmake.htm

It looks like a good software program for $30.00. It has its own photo editor so you don't need Photoshop and works on XP. Won't work on Macs, though.

The only thing I would recommend is pasting the printouts on foam board or masonite panel rather than cardboard.

well I have a credit repair company. I have been in the car business for a few years now and have been traveling across the nation for the last year helping out car dealers with promotional sales every week, and believe it or not it starts to drain you going from coast to coast every week (it was very cool to start with because the farthest west that i have ever gone before that was just barely in tennessee). Anyway, I was never at home and was thinking of a good way to continue what i already do (which is help people get financed that ordinarily would not come close to getting a loan) but make it where i could stay around the house. This is when the whole credit repair idea hit me. you know, i have a very good buddy that has been doing this for a few years now, and i noticed that he must do well at it from the cars he drives. he started with a busted old cadillac. then got a 300 signature. kept the signature and bought a csrt8. gave the signature to a family member and now has the srt, and a new rolls royce phantom (which he lets me drive any time that i want) and a h2 hummer, a 750 bmw and a new esv escalade. when i was riding in his phantom to helicopter lessons is when the light shined through the double paned heated side glass of the rolls. Luckily, my father is an attorney and saw this project the whole way through to make sure none of this is illegal and now here we are. where i have a great advantage on my buddy is that he has limited hiself to primarily from central to eastern nc to a few parts of virginia, i have contacts all across the nation where i have personal relations with all of the owners and gsm and managers as well as the salespeople at alot of dealers. So any way, we have been doing this for about 5 months now and i am currently getting most of my business around tupelo mississippi area (where i have consultants stationed), jackson tennessee and here in north carolina. I have just started accounts with big mortgage companies to help to sell (in houston tx area and in san diego). so this thing is moving right along and i guess this brings us back to what we were originally talking about. what i want in my office(s) is certain things that "trial close" our customers. what are most of these people going to use our service for? answer: to get a car, motorcycle or home. so in my local office, i am going to have a small showroom, if you would. it will have a new car inside, and a new motorcycle. also i want a big picture of a home as well as alot of people with smiling faces. just selling the sizzle. that alone will answer peoples questions before they even talk to a consultant. "will this help me get a car", "i wonder if i need to try this to get a home", you get the picture. so where i would like to have cutouts are in my other offices (because i dont want to buy a motorcycle for every office or car or whatever). I think that this would be a great idea to have in an office, but you never know until you test the waters.

hey i have looked into Block Posters - Create large wall posters from any image for free! and it looks like this is a pretty cool system. For some of the folks that may know alot more about this than me, could you please try this and let me know about what settings that is needed to get a clear picture. this is totally free and only takes about a minute or less to do the whole process. I uploaded a picture that i had on my computer that was taken from a car show (very clear picture) but when you view what is going to be printed, it is very blotchy. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks
