Remember the movie? This guy set out to retrace the route Kowalski took.

That was such an awful movie. That and the bet he made only required something like an 85mph average speed, so I don't see what all the fuss was about.

Personally I thought it was a great movie and have a copy that I look at quite often. Really liked his Challenger too and hope to have an 09 version!

i loved vanishing point. the original, not the ****ty remake. im surprised any car-guys wouldnt like the movie. i forgot it was a bet, i just looked it up on imdb. From somewhere in colorado to Frisco, CA in 15 hours. but even if he did have to average 85...wasnt the speed limit then 55? that would have been quite a feat to outwit the law for that long the whole way, going that speed.

See, to me, it was just a boring movie after a while. A good car movie can't just be one long car chase. That's why Ronin, Bullit, and French Connection were such better movies.

The national speed law didn't go into place until 1974, the movie is 1971.

Man that flush mount windshield is lovely ^_^

See, I think the 2010 300C should get stuff like that - a flush mount windshield, flush B pillars (like the acura RL), and maybe better lights (LED tails in a sexy style and such? the headlights are pretty good but the fogs could use a lil work)..

That and some redone gauges (all metal with LED backlighting *drool*.. that'd be nice.. plus a nicer steering wheel.

I think that'd have me all set right there

I'd happily take a job designing ****. Eg turn signal mirrors with a translucent mirror-coated shell that has an string of bright LEDs inside to make them light up (instead of those terrible "LED strips" making a bigass hole)...

hmmm.

yeah Ronin and TFC were good movies, but they were meant to be good movies that happened to have car chases in them. To be honest, i dont even remember what Bullitt was about, beyond the car chase, i think i get the plot mixed up with some Clint Eastwood movies. Same with the original Gone in 60 Seconds. The only thing worthwhile about the movie was the 40 minute car chase at the end.

i think VP was great for being exactly what it was, just a car movie, a nice thing for just chillin on a sunday evening.

I don't expect anybody to admit it, but maybe you have to be stoned to enjoy it? I know when I watched it after about 5 minutes I spent most of it on 2x. Maybe someone who is less of a tea-totaller wouldn't find a need for that?
