Yeah but there is expensive and then there is Couture.. Let's be realistic here, Patek has produced watches that cost in the Millions.

No one with a top shelf limited run Patek is going to drive a 300, hardly fits the demographic.. (unless it's a two decade old Patek and then you are a W.I.S)

I used to have a few watches on the go, some for work, some for show.

These days, however, I wear just one watch, for all occasions. It is tough as nails, easy to read and is a:

Breitling Super Ocean.

The neat thing about it is that it claims it can function to an ocean depth of 5000 feet. I guess that means that if I get tossed into the ocean with cement boots on, I can see the exact time that my brain implodes . . .

I had exactly the same discussion today with some work colleagues about the 10,000ft depth rating of my Breitling Avenger Seawolf. If my scuba gear fails, it'll be nice to know my watch will keep working as my body implodes!!
