Top Speed

So how many of you have done top end runs? just curious because i was shocked when i went for a top end run and got my car to 188mph with my new engine and driveline.

So lets hear what the fastest you guys have had your cars up to this could be interesting

I have not been able to [safely] get anywhere close to top speed in my SRT8, but have done 130+ mph (on a closed track).

188 mph is very impressive. Tell me a little bit about your new engine and drivetrain. Have you taken your car to the track yet?

Well its broken down like this sir

Only changes to the bottom end
Frank racing xv 8.5:1 Compression pistons
Frank racing ported oil pump
SRT crank stayed after getting several opinions

Top end
Inertia 6.1 big valve heads
Inertia super spartan cam
Port and polished intake manifold

Exhaust
Kooks step race headers
no cats
Zoomers fully polished

Drive line
2800 Stall converter by pro torque
Stock drive shaft
Quaife LSD
1000 HP half shafts

Brakes
Stock brembo's probably going to upgrade to stoptechs

and that sir is my build so far but im going to be tuning her up some more and see what happens

That sounds like a really nice setup you have there, and it looks like you are doing them in a very professional way. I like that you are beefing up the right things such as 1000 hp half shafts. It would be a crime not to take that baby to the track

it will go to the track im storing the car at my cousins place hes got a 4 car garage thats heated woot! next spring going to the track for sure with it
