Saw this too! Mopar had a great showing with three SRT's: 300, Challenger, and Charger Superbee.

Yes, there were almost entirely American brands in the list. As LSCto300C pointed out, notice that Chrysler has more in the list than any other brand, and more luxury too! Also, the best power/luxury blend is dominated entirely Chrysler

1. 2012 Ford Shelby GT500
2. 2012 Ford Mustang Boss
3. 2012 Dodge Charger SRT8 Superbee
4. 2012 Dodge Challenger SRT8
5. 2012 Chevrolet Camaro 2SS
6. 2012 Chrysler 300 SRT8
7. 2012 Hyundai Genesis 5.0L R-Spec
8. 2012 Nissan NISMO 370Z
9. 2012 Infiniti G Coupe
10. 2012 Subaru Impreza WRX STI

The 2013 Shelby Mustang Cobra has 650hp, and although it is pricey at $55K, it packs more ponies for the dollar than any other car.

Tarted up is what Chrysler does to their "special edition" cars. The "Yellow Jacket" and "Mopar" editions they've come out with have no REAL performance upgrades. The Shelby GT500 has REAL upgrades, not just a bunch of stickers, fancy wheels and logo embroidery on the seats. The 2013 Shelby GT500 is no joke. It's got 650 hp, and tons of other serious changes from the previous model. For example, it's got a a carbon fiber driveshaft and lots of other new parts and a much improved traction control system complete with launch control. I just read an article about it. It's also capable of over 200 mph and will likely be capable of mid 11 second quarter miles on street tires - probably low 11s or even 10s with slicks and gears. Name one other car for 55K that can top 200 mph and run 10s? That's not tarted up.

Oh don't be so fragile and call me a **** or something! lol Just giving you a hard time for thinking about the switch
If I had $55k and no wife that'd be on my short list, too. I might actually be getting a slightly older, much slower mustang in the near future.

When did we start censoring tw@t?

I guess I'm just a little bit disappointed with Chrysler now. I love the interior of the new models, but I wish they had more performance upgrades from the factory. DiabloSport doesn't even have tunes for the 392s yet and Chrysler has made it difficult for the aftermarket. Don't get me wrong. I still love the SRT lineup. I just want more! I'm beginning to think that even if Chrysler did come out with something more powerful that weighs less, it would be priced in the stratosphere. The GT500 and CTS-V have aluminum blocks and superchargers. That's a start and Chrysler needs to begin with that.
