i know that the shelby is having always some poor controlling issues, but the power in this car is like :O ! 663 hp and torque Stock, and there is this super snake thingy too, the power makes u ignore other stuff IMO.. But anyways, im not buying any car in 2013, im still in love with my 300c 5.7 2008 and looking for more upgrades

whats good about the shelby too that its very powerful in relation with its price, i doubt that i can find a powerful car like the shelby in such a price, dont u guys?
^^^ Yes, the price is great when you consider all the power and torque you are getting, and its not as heavy as anything that competes with it either. There really isn't anything else like it in the price range. The closest car in price and power is the ZL1 and it's got 80 hp less than the GT500. Yes, the power is challenging to control, but that's to be expected in a car with that much power. I personally would prefer a challenge than to become bored quickly with a car with less power. Another thing in favor of the Shelby is the mod potential. This is a solid 11 second car (if drag racing is your thing) bone stock. Even novice drag racers have run 11s in this car using the launch control. I've heard of a couple of owners that have run 11.2s completely stock, right down to the tires. Also, it doesn't take much other than DRs and a set of 373s or 410s to run some even more impressive ETs. Throw a tune and pulley on top of that and you have created a monster.
Way too much car for me. If I was going to buy something like this, I would probably go with the 5.0 (tweak and tune) or the Boss. I have a couple friends who recently purchased the new 5.0 mustangs, and it just seems to runs circles around anything else in it's price range.
The Shelby seems like a great package to me. However it seems by reviews core really didn't address the brakes as they should've for such a powerful car. There have been reports l horrible brake fade and brake pedal feel. The fade should be a cheap fix from the factory with some high performance pads. But nothing has changed so I've heard
For any everyday performance... car I don't think you can beat the Mustang 5.0. The looks, the power, the price! I watched a young guy beat the crap outta his 2011 at the drag strip... He musta made 30 runs in one night 4 hours total. That car never went below 13.3 and the one run I told him to let it cool... it went 13.1 bone stock 6spd! The clutch had to be glowing by the end of the night! Durable, lightweight, quick, cheap...

Keep in mind this is on a race track after many laps of use. Most owners will never abuse their brakes in this way, and for those that do, there are cheap and easy fixes. Just buy some different pads and use a different brake fluid designed for track use. The brakes aren't really an issue.
I haven't convinced by bud to let me drive his (and won't ask now that it's winter) but in his observations he said the brakes actually held up ok in aggressive driving but the rear end wanted to slide out more than it wanted to stay grounded. I think at that power level it's time to take some professional driving courses to truly push that car and be safe at the same time. It is a shocking amount of power.
