UK Owners?

Hi,
This may be a waste of time, but are there any other UK owners out there?
I haven't seen another one in the UK, but apparently a couple of the soccer players over here have one, and a friend of mine has seen one too.
It may be good to set-up a members club or something and take advantage of group buys and/or importing parts.
Servicing might be an interesting topic too.
Be good to hear from you.
Cheers
Steve

Hi Steve.....

i'm from Canada....Vancouver to be exact....i was just in Europe last month and saw a black 300C on the streets of Warsaw Poland.....the wheels on the euro spec 300Cs are the same as the Dodge Magnum & Charger over here....do you know if/when the SRT-8 will be available in the UK ?....btw i like to read CAR magazine which i can buy over here....i like to read reviews of cars that are not available over here....they have reviewed the 300C and like most car journalists were impressed with this awesome automobile....i also find the 300 Touring very interesting...it is like the Dodge Magnum but with a 300 front end....i managed to acquire some 300 brochures from Germany and found some interesting differences between our cars....

take care !

Hi all,
Thanks for the replies.
Ok it sounds like there are two of us at least over here.
Not sure if Rio F. reads this BBS.

Now the wet weather has come, I'm struggling with grip. The Michelins on it are absolute pants and I'm looking for alternatives. Not sure whether this'll involve changing the wheels at the same time as the choices of tyre is pretty limited!

I've been invited to H.R.Owen in Hatfield for the official launch of the 300C on Thursday night. I'll be turning up in one!!!!!

Did you see the A1 GP from Australia at the weekend? How cool that the Safety Car was a 300C!!!!!

We are the Brits, we are the Brits, we are we are we are the Brits.

Hi Steve Gee (you don't wear a red shirt and kick a ball for a living do you ?)

It's nice to know that someone else from the UK comes here.
I've been eagerly looking forward to my local dealer E.S Hartley at Ings in the Lake District having an launch day but so far nowt doing.

It'll be the dog's danglies going to the lauch in a 300c but it's a shame that your Michelins aren't doing the biz for you. What do you put it down to ?
crap tyres, crap roads, 5.7 lt v8 or a heavy right foot. Whatever the reason (except for the roads it's gonna cost you.

My car was ordered way back in June and is due (according to the computer) to be delivered the 2nd week of Feb - but we'll see. I'm getting a crd and supply is going to be a slow thing at first.

HGow did you mange to get yours so early ? You must feel like the cat that got the cream. I would if it was me !

I have posted here Can any of you blasted colonials help a Brit ?
as well if you want to join in and have some fun.

catch you later

Ah Ha, Murphy. There you are! Thought you could fly under our radar screen by peddling your seditious claptrap in the "overseas" section? I think not. From your tone, I wrongly suspected you were from the coal-besotted skies of Londontowne. But no, instead it turns out you're a country squire. The Lakes District? What beautiful country. Almost as pretty as our New England. Spent some time there a few years ago at the Priory Hotel in Windermere. Perhaps you know the proprietor?
I believe his last name was Fawlty, if I remember correctly. Understand the old manse has since gone "condo", another US import you couldn't resist.

Ahh MrHealeyRick

I decided to use some of your wonderful 'stealth' technologhy to disguise my movements to the more civilised section of the board, viz the Overseas board - which I find to be very curiously named as it is you fellows who are overseas not I

I did indeed know the owners of the Priory in my dim and distant past and it gives me great pleasure to tell you kind Sir that you had the pleasure of eating food that I provided to said establishment

I have moved my hilarious postings to this section because you chaps from across the English Ocean have stopped talking to me. Is it because you struggle to converse in the Queens (Gawd Bless Her) English ? or perhaps you are busy reading 1001 things to do with doughnuts ?

Today I had the fine pleasure of visiting my local Chrysler emporium and perusing their BRAND SPANKING NEW Chrysler 300cs that they have available. You would verily if you were to see my local dealer (you would have passed it all those years ago, but I think then it was a Mazda or perhaps a Alfa Romeo dealer), it had a grand total of 2 300c's to show rather than the 100's that i'm sure that your crude Americanian Auto Car dealerships have. But still it caused a twitch in my breeches and a buzz in my nether regions.

I have discovered today via telegram (Chrysler brochure) that they are indeed in a position to provide me with a "mean son of a bitch" grille (awful Americanianism) which is shock of all shocks reasonably priced and very, very, very foxy looking indeed - I will send a sketch of the item when I have one.

Well Mr HealeyRick I can hear that from the far end of my mansion that Mrs Cat has indeed finished doing the ironing and I am being summoned through to have my 17 course banquet meal washed down with lots of pints of bitter beer. Why have you Americanians never tried to drink proper ale rather than the flavourless (spelt correctly) fizzy pop which you sip at like girlies?

I am as ever yours

MTC

p.s. I am looking forward to visiting your quaint country in 8 days, I trust that you will make me and that the red carpet has been dry cleaned in anticiaption of my visit.
