Computer flash for 10-30w oil

Hey guys..I live in KUWAIT and i just came back from my dealer for my 10000 KM. service, and the tech asked me if I would like to get the new flash for changing my oil grade to 10-30w synthetic so it can work with MDS with no problems, and I agreed since 5-20w oil is very hard to find here....He showed the TSB papers about it because I was a little scepticle about it. The TSB is for Gulf Specs, and maybe Euro ones but I am not sure!!!

Maherm,

All kind of 10w30 or 5w30 Mobil 1 around here. But, Mobil 1 5w20 is hard to find in my area of the US also. Does anyone out there know if US cars can be flashed to the Gulf Specs??

Thanks,

I don't know about american cars, but I guess they should have it for your cars as an option for customers having problem getting 5w20 oils and it is the same car that we have over here, and it came from the same assembly line minus the computer tweak, which is giving us more power and removed speed limiter.
all the best

Now this sounds like a plan to me. Being able to go to a 10W30 or maybe a 5W30 would be great! Being able to defeat the speed limiter; even better yet.
YES, YES, TELL US MORE.
