Here are a few highlights… just to whet your appetite J
MagnumFreak has offered to fly out for this event, and join us with his StarScan. We’ll get the opportunity to meet with and learn from the project Morpheus creator himself!
Two or three hours will be set aside for running your cars on the dyno. Lets see just how many ponies YOUR mods are worth.\
Think you’ve got mad skills? Prove it; line up against fellow members at the track and see if you can come out on top. You better be quick though, the queen of the track, gotls1, is damn good…
Good times, lotsa LXs to stare at, drool over and just plain admire.
Sound fun? Keep reading for the specifics:

What:
This GIFO is going to pit some of the best mods we have available to us against one another. We’re going to dyno them and track test them. No mod is safe! Click here for all the testing specifics.

When and Where:

This event is so huge, one day can’t hope to contain it. As such, this time we are set for a two day event! Here is the schedule:
May12
9am - 12pm:
Round One of dyno testing. Reference the GIFO4 thread for a specific description of the test procedure.
12 -1pm:
Break for lunch
1 - 3pm:
Round Two of dyno testing. Reference the GIFO4 thread for a specific description of the test procedure.
3 - 5pm:
Dyno free for all. Yup, that’s right; care to see how your SXT stacks up against an SRT8? Time has been set aside at SVS R&D for a first-sign-up, first serve dyno experience.
5 - 6pm:
Caravan over to Sacramento Raceway
6 - 10pm:
Round one of track testing. Reference the GIFO4 thread for a specific description of the test procedure.
10pm – till the break of dawn.
Let the pub crawl reign! That is, you all might… I’ll probably crash and burn having had just one after that hellacious day…
May13
1 - 5pm
Meet in the parking lot of Haggin Oaks Golf Course, in Sacramento CA.
We’ll have munchies, drinks and hopefully BBQ (need some help with this; see below)
All mods tested will be available for viewing and discussing
MagnumFreak will demo the StarScan, and tweak member’s cars at their request (lets make sure we get him out here; see below)
MattRobertson will show off “Darth”; his lowered Magnum beauty. I think if you ask him nice, he might even give you a little taste of what KW’s are all about.
I’ll be happy to demo the Superchips tuner for anyone that has yet to get their hands on one
Basically, we’ll have a bunch of GIFO and modding veterans available for your questions, comments and/or insults…
5 – 6pm:
Caravan over to Sacramento Raceway
6-10pm:
Round two of track testing and all out drag warfare. Think you can pull the best time? Think your SXT is not respected enough… glory is yours, if you dare to grasp it

*For those of you wishing to join us from out of the area, or just want a night away from home, we are currently working on a group rate a local motel. Please indicate if you’ll need a room so we can get a head count.

Who:
I will keep current a list of attendees in the post following this one. Please respond to this thread in the following format (borrowed from fatchance and HEMEE), so that we can get an idea of who to expect. Its probably easist to copy and paste this, replacing the info between the dashes:

Username - City,State - Forum affiliation - Car model - First name – Days to attend – Need a room? - Dyno run? - Total # of folks you're bringing to eat Saturday

The past GIFO's have been a blast. This one, however has a chance to be the best to date. Come out and help us make it so.

MagnumFreak and his StarScan:
I mentioned earlier that MagnumFreak has offered to join us if we can cover his air fair. It can't be overstated how valuable his presence will be to the GIFO and the enjoyment and education of all that make it. Armed with his StarScan, he will help answer many questions we have, including this "dyno" mode. He has also offered to plug into your LX and tweak it the way you wish it tweaked.

He and I've agreed to make it simple and just keep one contribution line open. If you feel as we do and agree that his joining us is very worthwhile, please say so via a contribution. Click here for details on how to contribute, or you can PM me if you wish to send a check.

Dyno time for you:
Obviously, we don't have time enough to get to everyone that wants to run. As I see it, we can get as many as 6 rides on the dyno, in the time we've got. We can run each car 3 times, to help provide an average, just as is done in the GIFO testing. You will be given a CD with your runs on it and a reader for your PC; the same reader the GIFO results are derived from.

If you do want to have your car dyno'd, here are the rules:
The first 6 folks who respond here, who have contributed to the GIFO fund $30 or more will be permitted dyno time
You must be ready and present at the time given you (specific times will be given out later, but you can assume they will range from 3pm - 5pm May 12) or you will be skipped.
3 runs and your off. We'll need to keep the ball rolling, so if you have a mod you want tested, you'll need to limit the install/switch time to 5 minutes or less.
Food:
BBQ'n. Who's game? I can bring my gas Q if needed, or even better would be to have someone local provide one. We can work out the menu via PM

Lodging:
Many of us are planning to stay locally overnight May12th. Among other things, it will help facilitate the after hours enjoyment of our adult attendees. Did I hear someone say pub crawling??

Details will be soon to follow once we have a better handle on the number of folks planning to say overnight. Please, if you do plan to stay, say so!

Misc Notes:
For those of you that frequent other LX forums, please pass along this invite. All in the LX family are welcome to join us
Obviously, this has the makings of a huge event. I would ask that, if you do plan to attend, please see fit to contribute either your time or your money. We've got a large bill that needs to be paid in order to make all this happen, and I think we care currently half way there. Click here for the GIFO4 details and contribution method, or you can PM me and we can make other arrangements.
Thanks folks! Lets make this one something to remember.

I didn't realize I was staying so close to Sacramento Raceway. Staying at the Marriott Courtyard off of 50 and Zinfandel. I should have taken my 300C rental out for a few T & T's. Leaving Tuesday. Will be back on the 20th till the 2nd. But will have a Buick Lucerne next trip.

Hey NorCal, whatever is on the mods list, we will have to line em' up to compare a stock SRT (mine) to a (more than likely yours!) a boosted one! At least I got some more miles on my car about 550 now, was a good day for a drive.

Hopefully I have mine back soon...the garage is sooo empty without her, but I am sure Scott and the rest of the guys at GS are taking more then good care of her. When she gets back home she will have some new shoes and hopefully a nice boost in confidence.

Was going to make it to the track today, but to many things going on. Now that mother nature has turned the sprinklers off it's near 90 degrees. Guess no spring this year. I'm planning on going to Sac. this Friday, the test n' tune has been moved from Saturday's to Friday nights (cooler temps!). Anyone else want to join let me know. This Friday the 5th. I'll bring the video camera too.
