Just head a little north to Alberta, we'll support you!!!

Spent a few summers on the Flathead lake around Big Fork. Great country, great people and loved those Buffalo steaks.

Too bad they reinstated a posted speed limit; up until the national "55" speed limit debacle in 1974, and again for a few years in the early 90's, Montana's daytime speed limit on the Interstates was "reasonable and prudent". I once passed a state trooper in I-90 with my cruise control set on 105 mph and he didn't even bat an eye . If it were still like that it would be a good place to stretch the "C's" legs a little........

I bought my 300 at Dave Smith Motors and purposely drove to Montana to open her up. I didn't realize until I was coming back over the border that there was a speed limit. 126 never felt so good!!

Well there are only 2 troopers for the whole state I think so you were fine

I found out the hard way that even back when the limit was "reasonable and prudent" that was only in the DAYTIME. The nice officer just south of Dillon on I-15 at 2am was not amused when he caught me on radar doing 110. I had not seen another car either direction in 2 hours, but there he was waiting for me in the median. Turned on his radar after I crested a hill; the ticket was a whopping $45 (in 1994) and I had to pay him in cash on the spot since I was not a Montana resident.

Another Montanian

I am in Helena, and just bought a 2007 Vanilla 300C AWD. Hope to use it as a tow car for my 300B Kiekhaefer tribute car (not done yet). Here is my web site:

I spend a bit of the summer in Montana (fly fishing, and visiting the in-laws near Chester MT). I don't bring my 300C as I'm off-road fishing most of the time.

If you are in GF, then make sure you get someone to take you on a Missouri River float fly fishing. Big'uns there.

I agree. Montana belongs here in this forum as the others are just a bit too far away.

I'm sure you'll see other 300's in Montana. Maybe they are just shy and aren't posting here on the forums.

Good luck with the move and the new addition to the family!

If I come buzzing through I'll wave as I pass GF.

Crap! There is another DLR 300c here in Great Falls. What are the odds?!? Oh well, maybe they will get some of the flak from me tearing up the streets
