Exclamation Portland Metro/SW Washington Owners - Roll Call!!!

OK...Let's see how many Portland Metro/SW Washington owners are out there lurking on the forums.

Post Here with your location and whether or not you might be interested in some gatherings and other activities, such as racing (drag or track), local car shows, country cruises, family oriented picnics and visits to interesting sites in our local area.

Here's the roll so far:

MADDOG`
Mooner
THE KID
kings11
Kensmash

So let me know. I'll begin to build an owner's list of who's who if you are comfortable with releasing your e-mail addresses. We can use this forum for posting upcoming events.

Let's Bond!

Sounds Cool!!!!

Hey Maddog,
I live in Tualatin (just outside Portland, OR) and this sounds like a blast! I see quite a few 300s around here so I'm sure there has to be enough of us for a great get together/M&G etc. I have been looking for a group of fellow 300 owners to do a little weekend "go fast fun". I'm getting tired of stomping twenty-somethings in rice-burners that look like they just rolled off the lot of "Too Fast Too Furious" (okay not really...I never get tired of seeing the look on thier face when I tell them "Half the cylinders, half as fast!" or one of my favorites "I didn't know they made remote control cars that big.") . My email is: C350hpv8@yahoo.com. I can't wait to get this started.

Keep 'em coming, folks!

Drag racing at Woodburn coming up in May. See THE KID's post in the NW forum! I'm going and others are thinking about it. Here's a link to their website and schedule:

Woodburn Dragstrip - Drag Racing - Dragsters Hot Rods Drag Race Track - Home

I also plan on attending some track days and late night drags at PIR in Portland.

Here's a link to their schedule:

Portland International Raceway - Complete Schedule

And let's think about some other activities. I'd be more than happy to lead a country road cruise with a picnic along the way. Kids are more than welcome!

Signing off for now...Hope to hear from others soon!

Update

OK, I have been kinda not watching this thread being busy with some other things but between this forum and the LX forum, we've got a pretty good sized group.

Who wants to participate in taking this forward to begin organizing some regular activities? Some of the suggestions I've received for activities are:
  • Mini Meet & Greet (s)
  • Regular monthly lunch or dinner
  • Country cruises with potluck picnic along the route
  • Drag racing
  • Road racing
  • Cruise in's
  • Spring Fling participation
  • Meet the SeaTac owners 1/2 way for a day at a day use area of a State Park
  • Poker Runs
Any other suggestions welcomed. Organizing these things means an activity committee needs to be formed if we are going to do this.

This will not be a dues paying, roll call, formally structured thing.

So who wants to help make this a reality?

I'm in...

Bump. See this and other threads on the LXForums. We have some activities planned. All posts are under the NW portion of each respective forum.

I like the idea of local gatherings. I think that posting something here and sending out an e-mail to the interested parties would be most effective. I don't get to check this site every day, but I do check my e-mail daily. So perhaps with the list of those interested, it would be easy to send out e-mails to also notify folks of last minute (or pre-planned) events.

That's my 2 cents.

So Eugene isn't considered part of the Portland Metro, but I'm closer than most. Would be more than interested in hearing about get togethers.
