Need a Detailer Recommendation - Portland

The ride is almost a year old and I want to get her a detail job for her b-day! I want someone who's EXPERT in the buff/wax/etc. external work. I have a couple of scuffs that I'd like cleaned up.

Any recommendation on the East side of Portland?

Thanks,

Scott

Scott,

Check out this link. I've had work done on several vehicles at this shop and his work is top notch. He's not happy until you are!

Also, if you haven't tinted your windows yet, this is THE place to go in Portland. High quality materials, high quality work.

Scott,

Yep, Tommy also details cars. Interior, exterior...etc...he had an employee cleaning and putting a final buff/polish on his Escalade when I went in to pick up my car after the tint was installed.

I don't know what he charges but give him a call!

Tommy's was pretty expensive for the detail. I was quoted $250-300 for exterior only! I do have a small paint-rub on my front quater pannel that I'd like someone to remove, but I still though that it was steep for what was offered.

BTW, when asked for the specific procedure, they never mentioned clay and did say they use a high-speed buffer. Per Gark K's recommendation, we should run when we hear high-speed buffer mentioned!

Still looking i guess. I was hoping to find a detail (in and out) for $150-200.

Wow...that does seem a bit steep. However, Tommy knows more about detailing than 10 detail shop owners have ever learned. His work with a buffer is top notch. I know and was a bit apprehensive when he suggested it but he told me that if I wasn't happy, no charge. And he also said that, while it wouldn't ever happen, if the paint was damaged, he pays for the repair.

Well, my car came out fantastic! I went right from his shop to a car show at the Wooden Chicken where I received Best 4 Door and Best 90's and Newer awards!

There's a shop in Beaverton I used some years ago. Here's the link to their shop.

Fresh Start Detail Co. - Auto Detailing in Beaverton Oregon

I used to know the owner there but he has since sold the business so I can't tell you how good the service is there now. They were the most reasonable in price and the work was excellent.

How'd you rub your paint, Scott? Having something like that just drives me crazy.
