ISO a good detailer in the greater Seattle area

It looks as though I may have to hire someone to detail the 300c for the first time since I'm starting to admit to myself that I really don't have the time to do this properly. I ordered all the supplys from pakshak which should be here any day, but the more I read about all the steps, curing times, etc it's becoming clear to me that with commitments to work, weather, and frankly my enthusiasm or lack thereof towards this task I will need to find some qualified individual or shop.

I read poppadocs thread on the detailing forum and saw the responses so I at least have an idea of what to ask about. I figure one of you might be able to recommend a good detailer who can wash, clay, polish, and seal a new car.

I should mention that detailing is counterintuitive to me due to the fact that when I was growing up my alpha father made me wash the cars on a regular basis and I grew to dread the task!

TIA

Don't know, sorry. Might check with a high end body shop, and see who does the finish work for them. Seems to be much turnover here in the southend, every time I find someone who does a decent job, they are gone in a few months. No one has touched the 300, detail was done on my old T-Bird.

Hey Model 57, you were in a thread a few months ago about leather care. Did you ever try the 4 star system they were talking about?

I'll detail your car... I'll come to your house and do it... assuming you live within King County lines. I'm in Bellevue. =)

I use P21S polish, wax, shampoo, wheel cleaner, clean applicators each time, micro fiber towels and terry cloth towels, meguiar's tech wax on the wheels, lexol leather cleaner and conditioner, (clay bar if necessary extra $ for that), Plexus for windows and lights.....

email me if you're interested. kimcheebowl@gmail.com

My car clean...

Ride Slow, I didn't try the 4 star system, I am and have been a fan of the Lexol products for some 20 years. It has worked well for me, so I will continue to use it till something is proven to me to be better.

Hmmmmm, I'm thinking I might take you up on this very kind offer kimcheeguy. The price sounds right and you coming to my house is very appealing as I won't have to waste a day dropping the C off and picking it up later. And I would want the claybar as well. Expect to hear from me soon.

Thanks,

RR

Thumbs up Detailing complete!

kimcheejeegae came over today and spent a full 6 hrs. Arrived at 9AM and left at about 3. Did the full inside including the carpets! He used to have a detailing business so really knows his stuff. We used my Klasse and some of his products. Wash, claybar, Klasse AIO, Klasse Sealant, final detailing spray and polish, wheel cleaner & polish, tire cleaner & polish, leather cleaner/sealer, dash cleaner/sealer, window cleaner, plus a few things I'm forgetting - you name it he did it!

Damn, does the car look great! His buddy also took pics that I think he'll post. It's amazing the difference in the shine and the feel of the surface is slick as snot!

I was with him the entire time and got to see first hand how he did everything. Also wrote down a whole list of stuff he recommends. And I have to admit it didn't seem as onerous as I thought! Now I'll not be so stand-offish to do this routine again, although I won't need to do all these steps again right away.

He seemed to really be enjoying himself too. Apparently he details his car every week and drives a Caddy CTR8 and a high end Audi. Both of them are Silver like mine.

So now I have a perfectly detailed car for the first time. And the weather looks good for the forseeable future so I won't be reluctant to drive it!

Anyone who wants a really pro job I'd recommend him in a heartbeat, and the best part is he comes to your house!

Thanks Jin!
