3M stoneguard and window tinting

If anyone in the seattle area would like a full 3M stoneguard package or windowing tinting done on their 300C, reply to this thread or PM me and I can refer you to the place I went to. I had a 300 Touring that I had the full 3M stoneguard kit installed on and just had it done of my new 300C as well. I know the installer and he's been doing it for a long time. Mine was the first 300C he has done, so he has the patterns down now, so it won't take as long as it did mine. It took him over 5 hours for mine! Anyways, unless you're really close up you really can't tell it's there and it's a small price to pay up front to protect the factory paint for a long time to come. Also with their window tinting, they tint the whole back window as opposed to cutting around the 3rd brake light as most shops do. Let me know if you want more info.

I would like to know about pricing on the 3M stoneguard application. Thinking that I would like to get this before that dreaded 1st chip in the paint.

Ok guys, here is some price quotes for both the stoneguard and window tinting. For the full 3M stoneguard package, which includes the hood, fenders, door edges, grill, front bumper, headlamps, and fog lamps is $799. For the window tint, all four sides plus rear window is $340. It's a little more expensive because they do remove the rear deck lid and the rear seats so that they can tint the entire rear window instead of cutting around the third brake light, so there's a little bit of labor involved there. Also, if you get both the stoneguard and tint done at once, the owner has been known to give a discount on the package. If you're interested let me know and I can give the owner a head's up that you'll be calling and setting up an appointment and I'll be sure to tell him to give you the best price he can. The name of the company is Accutint and they're located in Bellevue right behind Barrier Porsche. They work on high end cars all the time and do most of the local celebrity's cars as well. I'm open to showing you the stoneguard installed on my 300C if you want to see it before you decide. Hope this helps.

Not to crash the party... but I can get you a better deal at STONGARD... in bellevue (located behind BMW of Bellevue). I love the guys at Accutint.. Caleb and Josh are awesome guys... I've taken both of my cars there for tint, all of the audi guys took their cars their to get tint.... but as far as stongard... I can get you all a deal for better quality work installed for less. the website is www.stongard.com..... the owner Tim is a stand up guy. I did some IT consulting work for them and it spawned a great relationship with the guys there. Meticulous work, guaranteeed work.... i have seen personally a handful of high end cars there... Park Place down the street sends all their cars to Stongard... Ferrari of Seattle sends their cars here too. Email me if you are interested. Kimcheebowl@gmail.com

FYI

I had the stoneguard done right away to my C and it's well worth the price. You don't even know it's there until you stand right next to the car. I live near 2 quarrys so those damn gravel trucks are lousy around here.

In about a week I'll be getting the tint pkg done at Accutint. I insisted on getting the ceramic film called Pinnacle from Formula 1 since I have a friend in Phoenix (CottyGee) who has this super-premium film on his C and swears by it. You don't even want to know all the hoops I had to jump through in order to get it, as there were no factory approved installers in all of WA state prior to me being a real PIA to Formula 1 for a couple weeks.

Cost is $380, and an additional $20 for them to do the top 6" of the front windshield. And yes Josh said they'd be removing the rear window to do the job properly.

Everybody is entitled to their own opinion. The installer at accutint (Tim) actually came from Stongard and in my opinion he is the best installer I've seen. All my friends and myself have gotten our stoneguard installed by him. He's been doing it for a long time. I don't know about price, but as far as quality goes, I wouldn't trust anyone else but Tim. I guess to each his own, just my two cents worth.

Anyone on the Forum know of any 3M or 'Stonguard' installers in Germany?

I have the c in the shop for a door crease repair. I figured, while it was there, I would have the chips repaired, small chips, both fenders, and the hood, est $500. Damn. They have a recommended installer for the 3M, I will get the name and check in again on Friday.
