For Sale - Factory Kicker Dash Amp from a 2007 LX SRT8. This amp is an upgrade over the 2006 LX SRT8 Kicker amp. I have heard a 2006 Kicker back to back with my 2007 and the improvement in sound quality is good. After exchanging messages over on the 300 Forum with a LX Owner and employee at Kicker I found out they changed the EQ and Crossover points for the Kicker Amps between 2006 and 2007. This amp will also do the DSS (Surround Sound) ONLY in Rear entertainment mode.
That is the only difference between this and the Mopar Kicker 77KICK18AB amp. That Amp does DSS in all modes. And before you tell me the Mopar Kicker is 368watts. This one is the same as confirmed by the Kicker Employee. And here is the math.
Factory Kicker in Magnum SRT per Original 2007 Brochure 276watts/6 = 46watts per channel
Mopar Kicker amp 77KICK18AB 8 channel amp 368watts/8 = 46watt per channel
And this amp is not limited to 6 channels it will run 8 channels in a 300 with center channel and rear shelf sub for a total of 8 X 46 = 368watts just like the Mopar unit.
Factory Kicker systems had separate sub with its own 100watt amp. Also Kicker SRT 300s had center channel that's the 8 channels. Mopar is just using clever specs to make the Mopar Kicker sound like an upgrade when in a 2007 it only adds the DSS in all modes.
