If your buying from rimstop.com please read this

Like I said in a earlier post I had a major problem with rimstop.com. I know some of you are planning to buy from this company. I don't flame any companies but I don't want anyone on this forum getting ripped off by these guys. Sorry guys for the long post but I feel strongly about this company and I feel that everyone on here should know what kind of people they will be dealing with if they decide to buy from rimstop.com. Im not saying if you buy from them you'll be ripped off as well but there is a good chance they'll delay your order for 6 weeks and then slap a 35% restocking fee when you try to cancel. This is what I posted a few months ago on another forum:

What happean:

I purchased 2 sets of rims and tires from rimstop.com in Feb. Everything seemed fine, friendly staff and they called me back and kept me updated with my orders. I asked before purchasing how long it would take for my rims to arrive, they told within a week. About a week later my first set of rims are shipped out and I recieve them within 2 days which was amazing. So I open the boxes to check the rims to find one rim open which the center cap missing. Checking the rim over it looked fine and I thought ok no big deal i'll call and get a new center cap. So I call and tell them what happean, the salesperson is all mad at himself and says sorry and tells me that a new center cap is going be mailed out the same day. Im very happy and pleased with the service and I ask them when my other rims and tires are going be shipped out, he tells me within days. So 3 weeks ago I call again and tell them I need the other rims by the 23rd of March, the guy tells me thats no problem and tells me that I will get them before that. Now lets jump to today, 5 weeks later, 20 calls later, I have not recieved my other set of rims and tires. Everytime I call them they tell me they'll call the warehouse and call me back but they never call back. I called on Friday and the guy told me the rims would be in on Monday, so call in today and once again they tell me they'll call the warehouse and call me back. I understand some rims are special order and it does take time which has happean to me before but why give me a run around and tell me they can have the rims within a week? Its funny how when I paid them they treated me with respect and with excellent service but now they have my money they just don't care. Would I shop with rimstop.com again, no.

Follow up:

I call today to find out about my rims and ask why it taken 5 weeks for them to get them in. I first talk to a lady and then she fowards my call to the owner, both are sitting there on the speaker phone. First I ask why its taking so long, I got the same old answer. I then asked them why it would take 5 weeks to tell me they didn't have the rims in stock and I again same old story. I finally had a enough and told them I wanted a full refund and thats when the owner tells me im a bad customer and that I shouldn't complain. I couldn't believe what I was hearing and then the owner of rimstop.com starts swearing and treating me and telling me that I should come down to Houston and talk trash to his face because I asked him what kind of company he was running. I mean the stuff this guy said is amazing and I wish I could have recorded it. I should have been the one getting pissed off but instead this guy is getting all nasty and talking alot of trash. I asked him what he was going do, come kill me? I asked him couple times what kind of company he's running that makes treats againist there customers, I had enough so I told him im going report his company to the BBB. I have never had a incident were customer service or even a owner of business talk so much trash like this guy did today. I've had enough with this company and i've asked for a refund. This should be warning to anyone that might be thinking of buying from this company. I paid close to $7000 in total in good faith and instead im the bad guy. Good business don't swear and make treats againist there customers.

Outcome:

I finally got all my money back from my credit card company even for the rims that I recieved. The total amount that was given to me was $7000. The credit card company spent about 2 months to look into the matter and gave me credit. For the company itself, Rimstop.com did not make any attempts to contact me and try to fix the problem and just refund my money. The last contact I made with them was 2 months ago and they told me they stop taking credit card payments and they would not refund my money. The owner of the company named Sonny was pretty much laughing in my face, chewing food and making a ass out of me. He also told me that he spent my money on his wife. I had enough with him and his company so I filed a police report with the Houston Police Dept. and they filled a theif report and also reported it to the BBB of Houston and the Attorney General's office in Houston. The BBB in Houston has almost 30 complaints on this company. They also have 4 different addresses and 2 different owners and overall this company is very shady. I've ordered my rims from superbuytires and they had the rims sent out the next day. Hopefully none of you guys make the same mistake as me and do business with rimstop.com.

I realize you have been made whole by the credit card company, but rimstop can be prosecuted by the Post Office for mail fraud, and other federal agencies because of interstate commerce laws.

I appreciate your email warning the rest of the forum about this seller.
