2006 SRT-8 FOR SALE, 550 miles, Black -->LOOK!!

Hi Everyone, ... long post follows ...

I love to own and drive the newest vehicles on the market; and I trade or sell quite often, since I don't have the garage space to keep more than 2 vehicles at the same time. My wife is now interested in the new MB ML500, so the time has come (way too soon) to sell our SRT-8.

The original MSRP was $46,050 and we purchased the car on June 2, 2005. The car has Option Groups I and II and sunroof. It does not have the Kicker speakers or rear-seat video. Only 559 miles as of 10/7/2005. EXCELLENT condition, no damage of any kind. Garaged always. Not driven ever in inclement weather! I have the front license plate bracket, but have not installed (I couldn't bear to drill holes in the bumper even though a front plate is required in Iowa). I applied two coats of Zaino sealant soon after purchase; Rain-X on exterior glass; Meguiar's leather care on seats. I have not made any modifications to the car.

I will be listing on eBay in a few days if need be. I am listing here first because I know (after reading and enjoying this forum for months) that many here are still looking for a SRT-8 that is available at a FAIR price!! Because I switch vehicles so much, I don't mess around holding out for the absolute highest dollar amount. Life is too short, and I would prefer to have someone enjoying this car while I am enjoying our next one.

If you've read this far, you are probably more than ready to hear the price. Here it is, but with a few stipulations. $42,500

Now, the caveats...

1) I would like to sell this to a forum reader, but as indicated above I will list on eBay after a few days. The Buy It Now price will most likely be higher there.

2) I would really prefer that the buyer pick up the car in person at my residence here in Fort Dodge, Iowa, 50501. This obviously adds some travel and expense, but you won't pay for shipping expenses; nor will you have to worry about any damage or snags during shipping. If I were buying, I think I would rather inspect, pay and drive away than to buy sight unseen and wait for a truck to show up at my house. I will be glad to provide transportation from a nearby airport.

***If someone wants the SRT, but is unable to travel -- we'll certainly work something out; however, the buyer is fully responsible for the shipping arrangements and costs. Any inspection needs to be done on your behalf before the car is shipped!***

3) I would like payment by bank wire transfer, if at all possible. Verifiable cashier's check is a secondary option. The buyer will be able to inspect the car before payment; while I will be certain that payment funds are valid. I have the vehicle title in my possession, but I will not release it until whichever form of payment fully clears my bank!! Wire transfers from bank-to-bank would be quickest for both parties. I will provide a bill of sale, of course; along with the title and odometer- and damage-disclosure statements.

I realize that I am asking the buyer to be somewhat flexible regarding travel. Please keep in mind that I am pricing this car to accommodate that buyer's flexiblity. Recent listings here and on eBay show asking (and selling) prices thousands above what I have set.

Please send me a private message only if you are seriously interested in purchasing this excellent vehicle. We can converse over the phone or via email, and I will be glad to email high-resolution pictures to an interested party and answer any questions you might have.

Thanks for your time,
Michael Anderson

Must be nice to do what you do. (Too bad you're making a mistake, but then again I'm biased. )

Let me see, if you calculate in a conservative tax rate of 6.5% that's $11.78 it cost you per mile (not including gas)

wow.

Good price though, I'm sure someone will jump on that.

No way I could give up this car, just no way.

Course, I'm not married

The price is very fair IMO. I mean really, how often ar you gonna find a "used" car with less than 600 miles on it? Somebody is about to get lucky IMO.

In fairness to the thread owner, pease limit comments in the Buy/Sell forum to those regarding interest in the item wanted or being sold only.

I need my monthly payments to be $500.00 or less...I went to the dealer and offered my car plus $10k and they said my payments would be more than $650...My car is in MINT condition 11,000 miles and they would only give me 30k for it and i only owe 24k...
