Here's a couple of invoices #'s on a Limited and a "C" faxed to me from a dealer in San Deigo. All this confussion of dealer hold back is useless ! "It IsWhat It Is". It's theirs and not up for debate as to wheither you can cut into it or not. With most dealers adding an Addendem sticker marking up the MSRP from $2000 to (YES I SAW ONE) at + $10,000, You're luck in some states to get one at MSRP in the early stages of this release. I remember the same thing happening when the PT Cruiser was first released. Now Chrysler is begging you to get one with $4ooo rebates !
I've got 6 relatives who work for Chrysler in the midwest and had a hell of a time finding a dealer to accept the discount programs offered ! Any one in So. Cal care to give and leads !
Not to offend anyone here, but if you paid over MSRP for any car, GOOD LUCK at trade-in time ! Get use to the term "UPSIDE DOWN". Ask any of the early PT buyers !
Anyway here's the #'s off the invoices of a couple options I'm looking at:
Limited: MSRP $34,490 EP 31,433 FFP 32,327
300C : MSRP $35,250 EP 32,043 FFP 32,905
I spent 10yrs in the car business as a F&I Mgr. and Sales Manager and 2yrs in the wholesale end. Thats where I draw my statments and conclusions from. I left the industry 3 yrs ago.
As much as I LOVE !!!!!!!!! AND DROOL over this car EVERY DAY, the numbers gotta get right before I'll buy. Because one day I'll want to part with it and move on the newest BIG DOG !!
You do the math
