First, for anybody purchasing,good luck!
Now for the meat.
1) Do your homework
2) buyer beware

Do not let the dealer "sucka" you!
Go in with as much info(paper) as possible! Know the MSRP as well as the "actual" cost, edmunds.com and other sites have this info.

Then tell, don't ask the dealer what you want to pay. With the technology of the day you can find what you want with the pricing you want.

By the way for those that don't know Chrysler has it set up where FFP's can get the same discount as an EP you will need the Employee Choice Control #.

Good Luck

How does Chrysler give FFP the EP price , what do tou have to do. I have a FFP code is there somethiong else I need to do?

Doing your home work.
1) The dealers in Ca, AZ, Nv and Nm are not dealing if you want to buy off the lot with FFP. I haven't found one and I've made a lot of calls. Most won't even honor it. I have two on order form two different dealers with the FFP price. I've been in BX for 8 weeks and counting. The first one to deliver I'm taking.

2) If the dealer isn't dealing leave immediately or make it a short conversation on the phone. No need to hear garbage.

3) Most dealers I've talked to are out of touch with technology. They have no clue about the info we have on the net and continue to try old school tactics. If you've been on this forum for any time, there's lots of good info. You should be well versed on prices and check with multiple dealers.

4) I can't believe the amount of dealers who don't know much about the car other than it's a hot seller. I would expect these guys to know every inch of this car and they know the minimal. I've only talked to a couple who knew their game.

Good luck for those in the market. It will take some time and don't give in. There are a lot of us with good deals but we've been waiting and searching. but alot getting taken.

Last Friday 9/3/04 I was at a wheel and tire shop and there was a guy there who just bought a "C"(stickers still on the windows). He was going to put 20's on it and was looking at rims. I went in looking for 22, he heard me tell the guy what car I had and asked me where it was. I told him that I had order it and the price. He said that was impossible, he just paid $5000 over list and that was after they took off a $1000.00. I proved my point by producing two orders on my c with the price. Guys like him are why the dealers are robbing people blind.

I was just over at my local 5* and see that they lots of 300C's and 300's on the lot, the C's are all fully loaded in the Magnesium, Silver, Lava Red and Black, so if you want to come to Canada you can probably drive off the lot and you can deal.

Canandian spec'd cars are considered "Grey Market" in the US. The require some conversions to US specs. I also read that the dealers will not service them under warranty.

You are right about the warranty, but not sure you are right about US specs, I believe all I have to do is reprogramme my EVIC to go from Metric to Imperial.

The only thing you can't get here is Sirrus and factory U-connect which I understand is avilable now if you factory order.

If you are a tourist on either side the dealers will service them under warranty.

Sorry it is in both Kms and MPH, it's just that the Kms on this side are up front, check yours you will see that yours also shows Kms in the background, and of course our windshields are DOT approved, where did you get that they were not?

The only thing that I can see is different is that we get DRL's on our cars and you don't, but on the 300M's the guys used to buy a module for about 40 bucks and it was plug and play, but I guess it is not so easy on the 300, just ask Miles. There used to be a different hook-up for the child car seats a few years ago but I think that is now the same.

A few years ago car curbers were coming north and buying the PT cruiser in Cdn dollars and transporting south and selling in AZ in US funds and making a fortune, and that is why they decided to not recognize each countries warranty and this is easily checked by checking VIN's. When I was waiting for my car I checked my VIN on numerous occasions to see the status of my car and then I started playing with my VIN and I found a VIN which was one number off mine that was sent to a dealer in Texas. I found that strange.

Got mine at EP price over the phone with an offer to deliver it to my home 120 miles away from Rancho Chrysler Jeep Dodge SanDiego Ca. 92111 .
I drove down there to take delivery, didn't want anybody to breakin my car for me...............!
They brought my Lexus back to my house the next day for me.

THAT'S SERVICE !!!!!!!

If you have the Chrysler EP or FFP certificate, talk to Stephanie in fleet. Tell her Michael with the Deep Lava Red recommended you !

In early September, I found one dealer 50 miles away, here in So Cal, willing to honor the Affiliate Rewards program on a factory order. All others told me I would have to pay either full MSRP on a 300C factory order, or above MSRP for one on the lot.

My factory order came out to MSRP $38,010. With the Affiliate Rewards, my price is $35,489 (1% under cost). Even at this price, the dealer shows a holdback of $1,122. Also, there is another figure in there that appears as EP $34,500. Not sure what it means but I suspect it is the "true" cost to the dealer (which is $989 under the price I am paying).

In summary, the dealer seems to be netting $2,111 ($1,122 + $989) on a fully discounted vehicle without much work besides taking my order, PDI-ing it, and delivering it. Not a bad deal at all for them...
