This is a can of worms.
What you really seem to be asking is "should I/can I run 91 octane on a 93 tune"? Am I correct?
The canned tunes have a bit of leeway to accomodate fuel quality variables. A CMR tune will remove some of this space so: using a consistent quality of fuel from the same company and hopefully the same location is a good idea. New storage tanks are also a good thing because there will be less water in them from condensation over time.
As far as your octane question goes, when gas comes out of the pump nozzle it is what they say it is or better. When it's in your tank the octane level can change particularly if it contains high levels of ethanol and it sits in your tank for extended periods of time.

Bottom line is I don't know too many people who run 91 octane with a 93 tune. In fact I don't now anyone who does that. Just not worth the risk .

It was my thoughts to. Honestly it was but I wanted to ask. I spend most of my time on this forum and wanted opinions here as well.
I can't hardly imagine there is really that much" noticeable "difference between each tune anyway.
When I initial read that and replied to his thread I replied incorrectly and he replied again asking me to read it again.
I am certainly not saying he is wrong or even saying I don't trust him. I am simply asking for more than 1 or two opinions.
I even read on Diablosport forum that 93 tune can actually be worse than a 91 but I am not even going to go into that. There has to be to many variations and variables to all that discussion! Way beyond my understanding!

How would a person go about getting a CMR tune done? Is it really worth it on a 5.7? A 5.7 with 120,000 miles?

Well, you could go and get a couple of dyno runs and get a tuner at the shop to set you up. The alternative is to do the data logging yourself with the predator and email the logs to a tuner. Once the tuner has looked at your logs he sets up a tune and emails it back to you. You then install it with the predator.
Is it worth it? For a relatively stock car used as a commuter, maybe not, the canned tunes would be good enough. For someone who has swapped in a cam, has headers and races on the weekend, there would be definite benefits.
I prefer the 91 tune over the 93 just for its general behaviour compared to stock. 93 gets expensive at the pumps to just commute with.

Thanks for your advice.
What you have said makes a lot of sense.
I don't want to race but if the chance ever comes up to have a little "fun" I just wanted to be ready.
The other day I passed another 300..it was dark..It had the SRT8 wheels and they were NOT the clad wheels so I assumed it was an SRT8.
Anyway.. I "played" and boy did assumption make and ass of me AND umption!
He was coming up behind me pretty quick and I laid on the throttle and he was pretty much already gone!

Thanks again Montreal! I appreciate your advice.

I would like to try the 93 tune i have the in-tune now and im running the canned 91 CAI tune seems great,..I run 93 octane all the time ...so why is the 93 tune not performing so well for you on the highway.,...i dont want that either...so maybe i should stay with the 91 cai tune?

Re: To Tune or NOT to Tune.....

I havent quite figured out why yet...seems great in every other aspect but that. Think i might install the 91 tune and see how that feels and go from there

Re: To Tune or NOT to Tune.....

Using the Intune.. What do you guys have your idle set at?
I am assuming that parameter in the settings is what that is correct? To adjust the idle?
Just curious what other fellow 300 drivers use for this setting.

Re: To Tune or NOT to Tune.....

Do any of you "experienced" Diablosport owners just keep your tuner in your car hooked up all the time?
Just curious.
