Spoke with Chrysler service and Mopar the other day... The aforementioned kit should arrive mid summer (no PN yet).
For those unfamiliar with it, it includes... Mopar CAI, Reprogrammed PCM, Corsa Sport cat-back exhaust, high flow Mopar oil filter and two Scat Pack 1 badges (off the top of my head). Kit should net 18-20hp. However in speaking with a Mopar retail specialist, his unofficial belief is it will produce more than that, however he would not go into detail. If you shop around online the <2014 kit varies from $2200-$2500 before install, I was quoted $2500 at the dealer (of course).

If not interested in waiting, the Mopar CAI #77070044AC , is available as well the Corsa Sports thru Mopar #P5160039 . I also assume the oil filter is available. Spoke with Diablo and unfortunately they do not have an ETA on a tune for the 2015+.

Just FYI ::wink::

That is pretty pricey imo for what you are getting!

I would wait on Diablosport to get the 15+ in order, and I would check out Legmaker Intakes over the Mopar one as well. Corsa is always nice, and it will take half of that price up I bet! The oil filter...is that a joke?

Of course, I bet you get to keep the warranty with the dealer installed stuff....

Thanks. No video sorry, i have the hardest time uploading. Anyway its really subtle, like factory subtle. The sotp feel is minor and the sound is appealing (to me) wot. Did i mention subtle lol.

I like that grill plate in the second link, but I'm not a fan of the Bee. I was thinking more along the lines of a Mopar Stage 1 badge. There is an online outfit that will make custom badges to your design specifications. Billet AL, stainless steel, chrome, even iron. No minimum order. Might be an option. Create a custom HEMI 5.7 liter Stage 1 badge and have them mill it for me in black chrome. Hmmmm.......

That sounds like a big rip off for the amount of power. I also think they're exaggerating about the 36 hp increase, if that's what's advertised. If you want more power, buy a more powerful car, not that overpriced kit and badges :)

Thanks for the negative point of view. The kit does not have badges.

I prefer to use parts from the manufacturer myself. They were designed specifically for the vehicle by the people who helped build it. I suppose I could save a few bucks by purchasing a CAI and cat back system somewhere else, but for me it is not about the power. It is about doing something useful to my vehicle that will make it perform a bit better and provide me with some pride of ownership while supporting the hard working men and women who used their hands and intellect to craft something special.

As for buying a more powerful car, my decision was to buy the car I have. Yours was to buy a Mustang. Good for you.

Thanks!

The Scat Pack is purchased and installed. I like it. Nice sound. The dealership installed the tips too far under the bumper, so you couldn't see the Mopar stenciling on the top of the tips. I took it back and they adjusted the pipes so they stick out about a half inch. They also provided me with the original PCM so I could just pull the Stage 1 and slap the original in and pass emissions every two years. Overall, I'm happy with the upgrade.

Although I've posted this in other parts of the forum, FYSA, I have the stage 1 Scat Pack installed on my 2015 300S. I'm pretty happy with the result. I looked at a stage 2 install...and the parts aren't the problem...but rather there are 15 hours of labor built into the install...and I'm hesitant to break my engine apart to install the new cam when everything works just fine the way it is.

The obvious benefit to the Scat Pack install is preserving my factory warranty. Otherwise yes I'd consider cheaper alternatives and potentially going for a supercharged setup. Contrary to what was posted earlier, yes the Stage 1 will pass emissions even according to Kalifornia standards...just make sure you have the CA compliant stickers posted that go with the kit.

The car pulls harder and sounds better...and most interestingly enough I got a noticeable MPG improvement (7-8% improvement). I wonder if this is due to the new ECU taking better advantage of octane/O2 mixtures?

Regarding the octane question for the Stage 1 kit: I emailed arrow racing that exact question and got no response. I can find advertisements for Stage 2/3 kits being tuned for higher octane. Based on my experiments with the car, it seems to prefer a 89/93 octane blend (closer to 91). Butt dyno's are accurate you know.
