My HEMI's at 140,000 and I use Pennzoil Platinum 5/20W.
I would recommend.

excellent

P Platinum is an excellent choice, very competitive pricing for a synth.

Seriously man, any good grade of synthetic 5W-20 or 0W-20 is better than you need if you're following the ridiculous intervals that Chrysler specs.

Hmmmm well you're a little past the proper interval for your first oil change

Seriously though.... what have you been using? Whatever it is I'd stick with that unless there is a particular reason not to.

Amsoil 0w20 full synthetic, allows for long drain intervals.
I only put about 10,000miles on my car a year (less since 2007) and find that only changing the 6ltr of synthetic once a year a cost saver and Amsoil stands behind the long drain intervals. Run a WIX filter.

question

you do know that Amsoil only stands behind the extended drains if you use their filter.

I hope.

Eric,

I've been using Mobil 1 Full Synth (5W-20) for a few years now (and Mobil 1 filters too) and change it out every 6-8K miles.

I could probably do it every 10K miles but I don't really put a whole lot of miles on the car per year.

3 1/2 years of ownership and I'm just now past 30K miles.

Yeah, me too. Mobil 1 full syn 5W-20. Scheduled changes at 7K. I don't think it matters at what mileage you switch over, but I'll leave that to the smart guys. That's just what I was told when I switched to this oil after buying the car - assuming it had always used the stealership special oil.

Yeah, I read up on it before making the switch too.

I've read in some cases people doing their intervals at 10K with full synth. It's a synthetic oil so it doesn't break down as easily as regular conventional oil. Still for peace of mind I do mine every 6-8K.

Have you used conventional oil for 110K miles and now want to switch to full synth? I don't have enough experience with high mileage and making the switch now.

Smart guys, where ya at to answer that Q?
