Fuse 11 vs. Throttle Reset - What's the Difference?

The title (hopefully) says it all. I've done the throttle reset procedure (turning the key to "on", pressing the gas pedal down slowly and then letting it back up slowly) a few times, and each time it has had a noticeable affect on the way the car drives. Any lag in acceleration is completely gone, and I get full power as soon as I floor it.

But I keep hearing about removing fuse #11 to reset things as well, and it seems as though they both do the same thing? If not, can somebody explain the difference please.

Thanks!

There are adaptives in the throttle controls and the transmission. With fuse 11 you reset them all.

^^Steve's response pretty much covers it. And when he says everything it includes fuel trims, spark, idle correction, long term knock control etc. Fuse 11 is your friend when dialing in a new tune...

Thanks for the response.

Assuming it has adapted to "granny driving", that means, what, that pulling the fuse will cause the transmission to start shifting closer to red line?

So I have my car tuned already, and haven't heard about the fuse 11, should I

A) pull fuse with each oil change/check because it's changing my overall performance

or

B) leave it alone, it's already tuned and won't defer from my tune, hence the reason of tuning it.
