Turbo 300C

Question , is there anyone making a turbo kit for the 300C ? And is a turbo something some of you 300C owners are thinking about ? I see some talk on a charger but no word on a turbo kit .

not to mention (as has been mentioned on the supercharger thread) that engine management will be a problem with forced induction on these cars. I am sure at some point people will be able to manipulate the electronics to react to blowers and turbos, but right now, noone seems to be rushing to market. See the Supercharger thread under performance mods for more information. There is no need to repeat it all here.

When MDS goes in effect, does it alternate which side of the cylinders shut off or does one side always go off? It'd turn back on if you get on the pedal but if the turbo was on the side that shuts off you'd be out for constant boost. And extra heat isn't a problem if you have an intercooler.

It doesn't shut off one side, but it does shut off the same cylinders every time.

Fast4door is correct, when MDS is operating you are running a V4, kind of like an old SAAB. Anyone know what SAAB stands for and while you are at it, where Volvo and Mercedes got thier names?

i thought the intercooler just cooled the air going into the intake manifold? had nothing to do with cooling the turbo.

James, U R right. The intercooler function is to cool the air as it leaves the SC and B4 enters the engine. The fuel/air mixture burns more efficiently and the result is more horsepower. The intercooler has nothing to do with the temp of the huffer...
Whipple gave up on designing one for the Hemi; Kenne Bell gave up on the 03 Hemi and is now focusing on the 04 (DCX is giving these aftermarket guys ZERO help and information, and they are struggling with the MDS and the ECM programming...Kenne's people responded to one of my Email queries, saying "the electronics in THIS engine are very new stuff...very complicated, but we refuse to give up!"). Even if I had to mod the hood, I would jump at the chance if the SC unit was available.

i wonder why DC has made this car so difficult to "modify, upgrade, soupup"?
afterall, if modified the warranty is void, and will save them money. at very least, improved performance at owners expense will give further impetus to people to buy the 300c.
