ehh you can remove the air silencer, thats not gonna give you that much more power, but itll increase the sound, and perhaps improve throttle response. try a search, theres a thread on it in the FAQ section i believe.
other than that, theres nothing you can do for 'free'
if you want to pinch pennies, id say-
cheap exhaust mod ($50-$200, depending on who you know)
air intake ($100-$300)
jet chip, stage 1 ($150-$250)

those are just some 'cheap' mods you might want to consider, and remember christmas is right around the corner larry

welcome to the forums!

Are you looking for daily driving mods, or drag strip mods?

Free (or nearly free) drag strip mods include: Remove fuse 17 to defeat tranction control; place a wire jumper to turn the fans on to cool the engine; buy two bags of ice to cool the intake; remove the air filter; take all unneccesary weight out of the vehicle; reduce rear tire pressure to about 26 psi; increase front tire pressure to nearly 50 psi.

For the street? Nuttin's free.

It should work for you with an 07/05 MFR date. After 07/31/05 there was change in software and the esp system so removing fuse #17 doesn't work. My MFR date is 08/05, when i remove fuse #17, my car will sputter and pedal will go dead.
