stage 1 jet chip impression

put the chip in my stock 300c without any problems.really only bought it to help the transmission shift better.it seems to have better throtle responce but the transmission doesnt seem to shift much differant.i guess i expected it to be like my superchip ex2 but i guess i will have to wait for the chrysler version like everone else is.granted i have only driven it about 25 miles and it may get better so i want say it was a waste of money but i wish i had waited for the ex2.does the stage 2 chip shift harder than the 1 or maybe im expecting more than i should out of it.

never the same

I for one have never heard the same comments twice. Seems to be marginally effective at best.

Programmers are coming for 5.7 soon. Hang in there.

I'm more interested in a chip to remove the 126 top end limit! I must have hit that limit 5 times this weekend! What's the fastest anyone with a 5.7 has seen with a Stage 1 chip?

i just put mine in a couple days ago. throttle is significantly more responsive. shifts much smoother. and will hold a gear longer (to a higher RPM) which is nice. im thoroughly happy with the $200 i spent. now if santa would hurry up with my EG mesh grille with the bar down the middle, id be even more excited!

ilmanzo31....

I have same response as yours.. Without chip i noticed when you get on it, it would shift not letting you get up any RPM's to feel the power.. now when i get on it, it actually holds 2nd, 3rd, and 4th gear longer where the rev's get past 4,000 to 5,000 and you really feel the Hemi's power and pull..

Then when i put the Mopar Performance Air Intake and Exhaust, i really felt the power... You can see how the Jet chip changed the fuel-air mixture cause now that the Hemi is breathing she really goes...

Thumbs up Positive comments are the norm (of actual users)

The comments of both of you satisfied chip users are consistent with the great majority of posts by actual users. The Jet chip is clearly the most cost-effective performance mod out there in terms of overall driveability improvements.

As far as something better coming down the pike, so far the likely first tuner chip to hit the market does not even provide a timing advance or performance boost when using higher octanes than 87, something the stage II Jet chip has done since day one. I'll be waiting for a truly tunable chip offering the full range of performance benefits.

In the meantime I'm loving every minute of the totally improved driveability the jet chip provides through tweaks to both motor & tranny.

What really gets me is why there isnt a module out there yet.. They would make a killing on selling them.. There are alot of 300C's and SRT-8's out there that their owners would line up to buy one, including this one.... I love what hypertech has done for my '96 Camaro SS.. What the hell are they waiting for with the 300's has got me scratching anything I can sratch...
