I have my nitrous 300 back now (picture update)

Well after all my waiting I picked my car up today and it is better then even I had hoped, I have the 75 shot pill in there right now. The install is clean and when I hit the throttle It pushes you back in the seat. We dyno tested the 100 shot and the torque management kicked in shutting down the spray. Does anyone know anything that will get rid of the torque management? The car ate the 100 125 and 150 shot and asked for more the only problem was as I stated above so I have the 75 shot in right now until something can be done.

We are switching the window switch I have in there now with a Zex switch next week the one I have in there now is slightly pulsing and the belief is that the zex will work better.

Anyways I can post the dyno results later but on the Mustang Dyno I had 246.9 at 5300RPM and 271.9 torque at 4400 RPM. With the N20 I had 295.5 at 4500 RPM and 347.1 torque at 4400 RPM.

I can't wait to defeat this torque management and get a 100+ shot going, I also got lucky and still have a full engine warrenty so thats a bonus. I need any help you could throw my way about what I can do to defeat the torque managment.

Thanks again to all and I will post some pictures tomorrow.

have a good one

dreamy

your warranty is only a dream if they ever find any evidence of nitrous on your car! ANY type of forced induction will void your warranty.

Torque management issue is being worked on by many, check with GSM. They seem to have a mod for you. Note that drivetrain torque management protects you and your expensive trans from damage caused by great traction. As long as you have sufficient wheelspin you should not break any parts, but the minute you hook up and really bite you may see some expensive parts break.

Good luck, and keep us all informed.

One other thing is don't go any higher than a 150hp shot! The motor might feel happy and want more but this is something where an extra hundred hp is good, 150 is better and 175 is... boom! The car might actually take a few runs with 175 or 200 after you get by the TM but it won't be a question of if something will happen to the motor, it's when something will happen.

Hi Tbyrne I know what you are saying I won't go over 150 but once I felt the 75 shot kick in I knew I just had to have more. I cant imagine what 125 is going to feel like I am probably going to keep it at 125 as you say more is not always better. I played around with it today on a long stretch of road and I was at 100 in a blink of an eye, and hit the gas at a hundred and even with a 75 shot the torque management kicked in because I chirped the tires. The zex controller should net us around 315 on the Mustang dyno I am losing some due to the window switch pulsing. Once that is fixed and the torque control is defeated then it is really going to be game on. I know that in the comming year I want to also add new headers and a new cam.

Take care
