Intakes and Exhaust Effects on MDS...HELP!!

Hey,
I am considering getting a CAI (leaning towards K&N) and a cat-back exhaust system (leaning towards Borla) for my 300C, but I am a little worried about the potential downsides. What I mean is I really do not want the sound to be overly-loud and annoying, and I would like a system that is as quiet as possible on the highway (hopefully no louder than the road noise).
Another thing that I am a litte worried about is exactly what it will sound like when the MDS shuts down 4 of the cylinders. Anyone have a sound clip of this?
Also, I have read TONS of stuff about which CAI and cat-back is best ... if anyone could let me know which systems deliver the sound characteristics described above, it would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks

OK, 2 questions...
1) how is the noise at highway cruising speeds
-and-
2) how is the sound when the MDS kicks it into 4 cylinder mode?

No noise at highweay cruising speeds, just music to my ears.
The sound when the MDS kicks in is not noticeable.
