Question Flashpaqs... What Are Your Thoughts? Yes or No?

For those of you that have the Flashpaqs... are they worth it?

I have read a lot of posts of the car doing some crazy stuff after they are used. It seems like a risky part of the car to be messing with. Bolts and steel are one thing... but computers are another.

I would love to hear some final thoughts after this latest software update in regards to whether it was worth it (worth the $$$ too)

The only downfall is that you'll have to change your sig.

You wont know for sure if the computer system should not be fooled with until its to late in most cases. So far its all good news and great results. I'll give it until at least July, my birthday, to see if all stays well.

The Superchips Flashpaq was my first mod on my car. If that was the only thing I was going to do (which it's not) I would still do it.

The car is a completely different drive with the tunes from Superchips.

Gen Xer

I am leaning towards your thoughts... waiting for a little while to let them get the bugs out.

I also read something about having Chrysler update the computer to the current edition. Did I read that right? Do you just ask them to do it? When I take her in for the next oil change can I ask them to make sure the computer is up to date?

vvv90.... I will be happy to change my signature!

If you find a good dealer who is not out to do the least amount of work possible you can get them to update you with the latest software, otherwise they are just going to tell you that you have the latest update. If you can find someone with a scantool, they could do this for you. You have a 2006 C, you probably dont need an update.

Just do it!

Buy it, it great!
No regrets so far. Did I mention how great it is?
I no longer yearn for the SRT8! (oops, I said that?)

If your dealer won't do it, then I can when I go to the GIFO testing in Sacramento in May. I have a starscan and all of the latest software for the cars.

And as for the flashpaq, anytime you are making changes to the computers on these cars you take some risks. No different than any mod other than some early glitches which they seem to have taken care of quickly. I am purchasing one this week. I am curious as to how the car looks on a starscan after the updates from flashpaq are done.
