Dub Cai

Has anyone purchased the DUB Cold Air Intake? If so, please advise your thoughts on it. I saw the group buy thread from TByrne but I haven't seen any feedback on the CAI itself. I'm in the market for a CAI and was leaning toward the Mopar but I'm curious about the DUB. Any info on this product would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

This may be a little bias, but I wouldn't purchase an "dub" performance products.

I would go with the Mopar over the Dud, oops i mean Dub intake by leaps and bounds.

I think that the general thought here is that the DUB CAI is the most expensive.

Also, many members have tested the different CAIs on a dyno and seen either no, or very little, difference in HP.

Having made both statements, I bought the DUB because I thought it looked better. Personal opinion of course.

There is nothing on it that says DUB, as I did not put that sticker on the CAI.

I have been very happy with it, and get many compliments from people, who would have laughed instead if they knew it was DUB.

I just installed my DUB intake on Sunday and love it. I really spent the extra money on it b/c of the look of it, however the sound of it when I step on it and mixed with my flowmaster is awesome! I think it really sets off the engine compartment. As far as a gain in hp I want to say I can feel some difference. I bought mine of ebay for $335 shipped to my door. I even put the DUB decal that came with it on-----and no I dont have DUB decals on my car, LOL. I am sure the mopar or the K&N intake are fine, but I would say go with the DUB----nice sound and sweet look!!!

Does the DUB air box seal to the hood? I see that it sits on top of the stock box and appears to have some type of insulation on top. Is it much louder than stock?

It is quite a bit louder when you step on it. Sounds good though. The box connects to the lower part of the stock air box----not sure what you mean by insulation on top?

I just saw the intake in a picture, it looks like there is a black band around the top of the DUB air box. Does that seal to the hood when closed to ensure that the air comes thru the original air box or is that just aesthetic? Perhaps the pictures are not clear on this one. Thank you fro the information. I do like the look of this CAI.
