Hey DSIGNR, great to hear your happy with the Magnaflow.
I planning to get the same for my 300 in a few months. Did you fit headers as well? Did you get the exhaust locally? If so how much did it set you back?

After riding in cbutler32's car I can attest that it might sound like an AMG at idle, or at cruise, but at wide open throttle it reminds me more of a 426 Hemi Dart with Straight Pipes!

The first day he picked me up in a caravan of cars. I was in my hotel room and on the cell phone with him. I poked my head out the door to look at the caravan and then went back inside to grab something and shut the door behind me. I asked him "Which car are you in?"

WHAPUHHH, WHAPUHHHH!!! (The walls shook)

"Oh....that one."

OK, I'll chime in after my road test today. I was installing my Hotchkis swaybars (requiring me to take the exhaust loose), and the DHL driver showed up with the Magnaflow (ordered Monday this week!). Well, guess what I did!!!!?????

Installation was pretty simple, but now I have to figure out what I am going to do with the stock exhaust system.

Now for the driving particulars:

Started it up and I like the soft purr/groan @ idle. Didn't buy this for the sound, but rather for the engine breathability and the performance enhancements, but I must admit, that I like it!

There seems to be more low-end torque. If I put my foot into it just slightly @ 30, I am @ 55 before I know it.

At highway speeds I noticed the dreaded "Drone". When the MDS was engaged and working (computer had not yet told it to go back to 8 cylinders), the drone was LOUD.

The other thing that I noticed, is that I can now FEEL the MDS kick in and out (before it was so subtle, I only new by looking at my MDS indicator light).

I guess the stock system put so much back-pressure on the engine that the transients between the 4 and 8 cylinder modes were masked.

Highway speeds are DEFINITELY noisier than the stock system. My son, however, got in the car this evening (me doing kid logistics) and did not mention the change in sound.

The real test will be if my wife notices.

I went WOT getting on the freeway. I could feel the muscle of the Hemi as it spooled up to hi revs. The shifting also seems to pull better at the outset of the next shift.

My $0.02.
