Buying headers and exhaust.....Opinions

Do I just go ahead and spend the 3K and get coated Supermaxx or Kooks headers, coupled with a Corsa exhaust?

Or.....Save a few bucks and go with Mopar headers, with a pair of zoomers?

From my calculations the difference is about $500 or so. All opinions are most welcome.

The 3k is accounting for install also. Would this give the 300C 30 extra HP?

Thanks

You can't go wrong w/ either choice... If it was me, I go with the Supermaxx and Corsa. I heard both exhaust, and the Corsa sounded real GOOD! Zoomers sounds good also, but a lil loud for my liking.. Kooks headers is a nice piece, but the only thing that worried me, was ground clearance. I saw 2 HEMI's equipped with it, and both sat low. Especially lowered! Never heard about the Mopar headers..
Happy motoring

The Mopars are shorty headers aren't they? IMHO as long as you're doing the installation work, spend the extra (not much, as a fraction of the total cost) and get the equal length tuned headers. SRT8 comes with shorty headers, and some guys are changing them for Kooks, usually coated.

Does the Kooks extend below the exhaust and other stuff under the body? How far? Any other comparison between the Dynatech and Kooks headers would be welcome. I would be looking at them for the SRT8 but a comparison of their headers for the C would probably be similar.

Talking

I have the Dynatech and the Corsa's and I woudn't trade them for anything! The Corsa's sound a slight bit more than stock at idle and a nice soft rumble while cruising thanks to their patented Reflective Sound Cancellation (RSC) technology. But that type of tech only works when the pulses coming in are the same as those going out of the mufflers so increasing or decreasing RPM's are a different story. When you open it up and the RPMS's change, the RSC stops working and there's no steel wool or fiberglass packing whatsoever (nothing to burn in and change tone) so those babies open up and scream!!

I agree with BobCav completely. I had the Corsa Exhaust on for 3 days and since in city driving changing rpm's continually, my wife complained they were too loud. They did sound super neat with that HEMI sound. WOT you can hear the car a mile away. If at a steady rpm they were fairly quiet, but to please my wife of 24 years, I sold the Corsa's and re-installed the stock. The Corsa's looked much better on the C than stock and muck lighter in weight. I was able to tell bythe sound when in MDS but it was not annoying.
