Help!! Fan install for GSM Mod

Guys,

Does anyone have better install pictures of where the "green wire" is located than the GSM instructions? I feel like any idiot because I can't find it. Installed the ABS wires easily, but can't find the where you splice into the fan wires. Thanks

The picture quality of my fan/torque mod sucked too. Try this link http://www.300cforums.com/forums/239185-post129.html. It will get you connected to other links if those pictures don't help. Good luck.

Thanks for the reply, but I'm alittle confused. This shows that you are connecting a wire into the fuse box. The instructions don't described that.

Actually, that is someone else's mod. My instructions are given below in my sig.

From what I have seen with the GSM mod, they are actually cutting wiring and inserting the relay in the wiring at the splice point. I have seen the installation, but have not seen their instructions.

I think the green wire MAY be on the wiring harness on the fan shroud itself.

Sorry I didn't see you post sooner...you've probably already finished by now. I am not sure how much help I could have been on this one anyway if that link was of no help as I have a lowly 5.7. On my GSM fan mod I did have to tap into the fuse box ( power tap supplied) and in addition I needed to splice (crimp splice supplied) into the wiring bundle below that feeds the fuse box. I do know that the pictures were poor quality and of little help. I looked on the GSM web page hoping to find some better pictures and instructions for the AWD but had no luck. I hope everything turned out OK. I sure like mine now that it is installed.

Very detailed instructions! You should call GSM and have you write their instructions! Still haven't found the green wire. GSM did call me back, but I was out of town. I'll get it done this weekend.

Guys,

I need someone who has a build date of 2-06 or later to help me install the fan mod wire. I don't have the fan relay like others and GSM is just as confused. Thanks.

Jim,
Thanks for the correction and sorry for the mis-information... all this modding is getting jumbled up in my memory banks lol!
