Exclamation OK WTF is this??

Hi,

Ok I got the corsa's put on today. Man they are so quiet. Kinda nice I have to say. Now for the part that I do not get.

After starting the car for the third trip after getting them on my MALFUNCTION INDICATOR LIGHT came on and is staying on. Nothing was done to the car but the install of the Corsa Exhaust. This did not happen when the Magnaflow system went on.

Now someone please help me out here. Based on what I have read it may not be a major problem but I am still not happy to have my baby sick. Please help me out if you know what it is and what to do. If I have to I will be going to Chrysler in the morning and praying they do not tell me I am in trouble for putting on the Corsa System.

I have thought of doing this. I used to do this with my Dodge Ram after off roading. I will pull it in the morning and let it sit for 30 minutes and then run it and see if it comes back on.

Please keep us updated as to how that works out for ya. I have a corsa system on order right now and am curious if I will encounter this same issue.
Thanks!!

Make sure your ground clamp is reinstalled.
There is a little ground clamp I believe by the right hand side rear muffler hanger.
It is bolted to the bottom of the car and It clamps on the hanger with a friction clamp.
I have never had a indicater light problem with the magnaflows and corsa.
I did have the battery disconnected during installation.
Check it out and let me know
Gary

Checking it this morning. As I told Gary, I thought about this last night before I went to sleep. I will report back today when I get this little problem fixed.

I've had mine on since FEB and had a CEL once when I got in the mountains. High altitude was the issue with the free flowing exhaust, nothing more. Quick reset and it never reappeared. Did you make sure the O2 connectors are all the way in until you heard the "click" and did you lock the red tab back in??

O2 connectors are not even touched when doing a cat back install. At least on mine. I will be checking the car today and also pulling the connector on the battery and letting it sit for a little while. Then see what happens.

Let you all know.

OK all seems to be ok now. Will know for sure after a few more trips. I took the neg. cable off for a little more then 30 mins. Then made the connection and followed my brother to the shop to drop off his GSXR 1000. He need more go fast done to it.

So the indicator light went off and has not come back on. I did get a new light, the ESP BAS light came on. Once we dropped off the bike we headed home. That light went off as well. Think it was just trying to get used to the different tires I had put on a while back. You know relearn all over again. I have made sure all the settings are back were I want them. So now I will just see what happens.
