CORSA after one week

Ok I have had my Corsa system on for one week now. I know it is not grunty like the MF, but as you all said give it a little time. Well after one week I have to say I love this system. I is like a ninja. Nice and mellow when just driving around and then when I hit it, it kicks in and lets people know that I am around and coming. The drone that I had spoke of is just like you all said, very slight. I kinda have to listen for it and unless I am just looking for it, I do not get it at all. I have to say it was a great investment on my part to install the system and have to say, if you have not got you will want it.

I want to thank all of you for helping me out with it and letting me know just hang in there and let it get worked into the car.

Thanks folks,

Fritz

Yeah!!! What Bobcav said!!!

The Mopar CAI is the same way....Mellow at cruise, and no noise. Once you open it up it sounds like a Hemi should! In fact, it's like a second exhaust from the front of the car.

Worth EVERY penny!!!

Hello my fellow 300 brothers. I am not sold on putting a CAI on my car. Not sure it will give me more power to be honest. I have heard both sides on it.

TRUST ME! I was one of THEEEE biggest naysayers. The only reason I bought it was for looks but you gotta believe me when I say that it makes a performance difference.

NOW WAIT!

I'm not talking about added HP or Torque. I don't know, nor even care if it's there. But one thing it adds for certain is initial throttle response. It's snappier off the line and during downshifts. That level of performance cannot be overlooked. Especially if you notice what heat soak does to throtte reponse.

Oh...And it just sounds reeeeeeeeeeeeeally bitchin'

OK now that makes a better understanding of this entire idea on the CAI.

Thanks,
Fritz

VVV is absolutely correct. I'll say that with stock exhaust, the stock intake is best, but if you're gonna free flow your exhaust, you WILL see gains from a CAI. It's all about flow through the engine. Besides, it just sounds WICKED!!

You're both right, and I have them both.

I started with the Mopar CAI, and it was everything that Triple V says-just so cool sounding-mostly inside the cabin-when you get all over the throttle. Then I added the Corsas, and like Ab says, to advertise on the outside when I want to, quiet when cruising but they shout it out when you get on the throttle. Well in fact, they pretty much drowned out the CAI. I also found in the 8 that they rumbled at 30-45mph a little loud-deep for my blown out ears ( too much bass playing in my yout'-you guys with tinitus know what I mean). So I loaded up the trunk and rear floor under seat with soundproofing (eDead). What that did was reduce the rumble when cruising at lower speeds by about half ( but still evident if I want to listen), improved the volume and quality of the subwoofer and best of all, balanced out the sound between the CAI and the Corsa at hard throttle or WOT. So it's pretty much Hemi surround sound now! Just awesome. And I always leave the door open when I start the car-just love what it sounds like when it lights up.

Oh, and I don't get much road noise from the rear tires anymore so I can drop a rear seat and let that subwoofer do what it does best. (still a bass junkie after all these years).

VVV-Get the Corsa!
Ab-Get the Mopar CAI!

Me, I'm thinking Hi-Flow cats now...
