Question cai and tune

when i had a 05 mustang gt, if you added a cai one needed to also re tune the car via a programmer to adjust for a lean condition. is this needed when adding a cai to an srt?

There are no programmers for the SRTs yet which would explain the lack of replies.

The air flow sensor will adjust to a certain extent. Not much different than putting in different grades of octane gas I'd assume. The engine already adjusts as needed to a certain extent.

I run a CAI and a Cat Back and High Flow cats and no lean condition. These cars run pretty rich to start with.My tailpipes are still easily blackened.
