Excellent exhaust shop

I know this might be too regional, but I just wanted to tell everyone about a great exhast shop. I have been having a few problems with my dealer service center lately, so the service I received seems that much more outstanding.

I received my cat-back exhaust by UPS on late Friday afternoon. I wanted to get it installed this week to have it in for an event this weekend. I work pretty long days and getting work done on our cars can be difficult due to my inability to drop-off or pick-up while the shop is open. Basically the only time I had this week was today, Monday afternoon. I received a referrence to a good local shop that works on a lot of hot rods. So I called up the shop first thing this morning and they said they could do it this afternoon! Its a smaller mom and pop type place with only 2 mechanics. The owner of the shop did all the work himself and was generally a great guy. He told me that he "improved" my cat-back by installing the baffle muffler with the vents in a certain direction to reduce back-pressure (apparently differently than intended). He also cut the driver's side pipe for a more precise fit and tack welded everything in to avoid rattles. All of this while he was being pulled in several directions, phone calls, loyal customers dropping by to say hi, a few young guys coming in with questions/problems, and helping everyone as best he could. Then he took the time to talk to me about everything and help me load up my stock exhaust too.

Overall a great experience with a qualified professional! The price wasn't the cheapest quote I heard to do the install, but I am more than happy to pay for excellent quality and great service.

If you're in San Diego, or So-Cal as a whole, I HIGHLY recommend: www.edhansonsmuffler.com. He did a great job for me.

Just wanted to tell everyone about my refreshingly good shop experience.

By the way, the JBAs sound sick. I can't stop mashing the gas!

Always nice to hear about a GOOD experience! - - Wish I'd known about Hanson's when I lived in San Diego cuz I think I found all the exhaust butchers instead!
