6.1 headers on a 5.7?

Hey does anyone know if the factory srt8 headers are compatible with the 5.7LX? I'm aware of the oxygen sensors being in different positions, but is that the only pitfall?
Also, if they are compatible, what if any hrspwr gains can I expect?

I believe the port sizes are larger on the 6.1 headers and they won't seal properly to the 5.7 heads. If your looking for an inexpensive shortie the JBA's will get you good gaind for around $450.I ran them on my 5.7 and picked up a good 2 tenths.

Did you use them with the stock exhaust? And did you notice any noticable drone?

The 6.1 port is a "D" shape port and the 5.7 is more rectangular and narrower. I haven't tried it but I think there is enough meat to make them match with a die grinder. The stock 6.1 manifold (really a headar) is a really nice part. It even has an antireversion lip about 3/4" past the flanges. It would be a very expensive part from the aftermarket.

I used them with a Borla 112 and High flow cats and there was no drone and was quiet till you stomped on the gas.
The stock SRT manifolds will not work with the stock cats either as they are longer than the 5.7 manifolds and have different o2 sensor locations.

Pardon my apparent ingnorance, but what is an antireversion lip and what does it do?

It is a lip just inside the flange that facing so it does not effect exiting gasses but will act as resistance to back flow through the exhaust. I helps reduce cammieness and helps low rpm driving
