Talking Throttle calibration works !

I was reading last night . . . I forget where . . . . that if you are expericing hesitation or non-responsive "kick-down" when pressing moderately on the accelerator, that you need to perform a throttle calibration technique. I was experiencing some hesitation on acceleration from a stop and non-responsive "kick-down",so I tried it and it worked great ! The calibration technique is :
    1. Turn on ignition (with the doors closed) until all the lights go out except engine logo & lightning bolt light.
    2. Then, depress the accelerator pedal slowly all the way to the floor, and then depress the pedal slowly to full out position.
    3. Then, turn the key to the off position.
After this procedure, hesitation from a standing start will disappear and faster "kick-down" will occur.
AWESOME, I LOVE this car. I recently installed CORSA cat-back exhaust and I can't stop "getting into it !"

when you turn the key to the off position, do you wait a certain amount of time or just start it up.

To be honest, I waited about 10 seconds, just to be sure.

I also did as instructed by Mag 300C and the difference in shift pattern was noticeable. I asked my friend, (Chrysler Tech with many arm stripes) what was this all about. Dan told me this was a calabration to reset to original factory specs. My next question was how does it change from factory, Dan told me the system will adjust shift patterns to your driving style, if you consistently drive with a specific power demand the computers will remember and begin adjusting, this "adjusting" is ongoing. It will also adjust up for a more aggressive driving style as well as down for a more tempered habit.

Yes, I agree totally. I find if I've been driving let's say "non-spirted" for a long while my car gets a little sluggish at times. I just repeat the procedure as necessary and it resets just fine.

Boy, I just don't know about this. This has long been reported on LXForums and continues to be discounted as weblore by two very knowledgeable folks; fnkychn, a DCX tech that makes his living troubleshooting and repairing our LXs, and MagnumFreak the man who has done considerable work in the past with the PCM and who owns a StarScan.

See here for specifics.

Now, having said that, its readily confirmed that pulling fuse 11 does in fact reset the adaptive learning of the PCM, thus returning the programming to the stock, aggressive profile.
