There is no useful info on the internet yet. I can tell you I witnessed it killing my Escalade and a buddy of mines Range Rover supercharged. I have the ESV but its still fast that Nissan Pathfinder is a silly truck. No comparison to our SRT 8 Grand Cherokee cousin but still impressive.

Here's a video of a SRT8 going up against an E60 M5 V-10. SRT8 has some mods...

I'm adding a (not sure which year) 70's era Stingray Corvette to my kill list. That guy was as surprised as I was when I passed him. That truly made my day!

DISCLAIMER: Before the questions start, No I'm pretty sure it wasn't a 427 or a 396. Probably the more anemic mid 70's 350, but still an impressive take down in my book for being bone stock seeing as most of the competition I come across are a bunch of high school kids in their rice burners.

Makes me everytime I hear someone has smoked another Civic. One of my buddies had a civic and would talk it up like it was sweet stuff. He thought the custom ignition coil he had put in it was some sort of fuel management device. What an idiot! He just bought a new Cobalt SS and claims it'll do 0-60 in 3.7 secs bone stock. He wants to race but I don't know if I should encourage the moron.
LOL. My brother has an '05 Cobalt SS. Now don't get me wrong. He beats most of the ricers that are out there with the fart cans and erector set wings, but when i got my srt8 this fall it was my first kill.

Sitting at the stop light waiting for the light to turn green, I leave my esp on and decide to baby it a little at the start. Light turns green and me half peddling it and I am already out in front by half a car length. Push it to the floor and I'm blowing his doors off by 3 car lengths in a matter of seconds.

(He knows how to shift and thankfully he hasn't riced it out)

No chance whatsover. He was so impressed that when his lease runs up on his Grand Cherokee he will settle for nothing less than the JGC SRT8.

I give the cobalt a certain amount of respect in that its the american compact car markets effort at taking some of the wind out of the sails on the asian cars and I think chevy did a fine job in the cobalt, its my buddy who's made the word cobalt a sour taste in my mouth. I'll do some good old bench racing during the rest of the winter and in the spring i'll see if he wants to come out and play. Keep up the good work of showin people the 300 means business

I had a close one with an STI yesterday. It was from a second gear pull, from the get go we were close but i was about a half a car in front of him the whole way. I thought it was time to slow down when i looked down and saw 110 and i was in a 40mph zone. When we stopped at the red light he was really impressed and he said "I thought i was going to destroy you". Then he through it out there that he had another person in the car and i mentioned that I did as well and that i was on 22's (much more weight). However you look at it, it was a lot of fun and a huge adrenaline rush. By the way i drive a 300 srt8 with Pred. programer, 180 t-stat, GS fan/ESP mod, cat back exhaust, CAI, Throttle body spacer, Oil catch can, Dc strut bar, Hotchkis sway bars all on 22's......whew...fun times =)

You probably already know this, but it would be best to turn of the ESP completely before you race. I find that the traction control greatly reduces the acceleration potential of the SRT8, even when you are gentle on the throttle. The ESP tends to cut in unnecessarily at times.
