Bob,

I am still waiting for my C to be delivered, so I can only imagine how good it will feel to do that for the first time in the new car. I hate it when people do that. Has to be in my top 5 "things people do to piss me off list."

I had a Volvo S80 (w/o turbo) and was not willing to do that very often with it. I had to turn that lease in 3 weeks ago and the Chrysler dealer I am going to be leasing my C from gave me a 4 banger Dodge Stratus to drive (free of charge mind you) until my ordered C comes in. Boy it is going to be a huge difference going from a "turtle-like" 4 cyl Stratus to a 340HP V8 HEMI C!!!!!! I'm going to have to be careful or I'm going to be getting to know the local boys in blue more than I want to.

DCX tells me my C is in KZ and they are saying I should see it in 10 days to two weeks.

Enjoy your C Bob.

Dan

BMW 530 riding my tail up to stoplight. She got caught with pedestrians in crosswalk on our right turn and flew up my tail to catch up at next stoplight. Pulls into next lane to go around me at the green. Couldnt resist and blew her away as she punched it. My laughing face in her rearview mirror at the next light after I let her pass must have hurt her self esteem, because she motioned me to pull up beside her, which I declined. So the prima donna bi@#h pulls away from the next light and slams her brakes, wanting me to rearend her, which I did not (but activated antilocks). If I had hit her, I probably would have wanted to bust a cap in her @ss. Gotta be careful out there people.

So I guess your user ID sums up this experience!

It's a shame people get so pissed about being whooped. If someone beats me in my C, I'm just impressed by what they've got. There's a lot of cars faster than the C and it's just impressive to see them run. It's only a game.

Not that I know of...anyway that would be getting into very iffy territory. I mean a 1/4 mile can be pretty consistent to use as a representative average since some factors are compensated for or otherwise affected during that long a run. When you get down to distances as short as 60', many, many factors come into play and have greater effect (temperature, humidity, altitude, tires (and their temps), etc., etc., etc.) You would need the exact same driver at the exact same track under the exact same conditions to really make a meaningful compliation of data.

Yeah, I know that is what you are stressing, I am just saying finding compiled/printed results of that nature will be difficult to find and pretty much useless.

Ok, this thread was pretty long, interesting info as well... I know some of you said don't waste your time on the rice cookers with wheels... but sometimes you just want to show them the difference between a man and a boy... I've always been into modifying looks of a car, not speed.. and I like simple mods... I have a 96 Mazda 626 4 Cyl. hmmm which has like 115 horses hehe... I have chrome wheels, lowered, blacked out tints and a system, removed all decals, pin stripe and any other type of stickers... and I do have a an exhaust but because I needed to change mine so I just went with a dual tip one (sounds good, not like a lawn mower). and Im not a racer, but since the car is hooked up, Im always getting tried, cut off, etc... so all of that makes me super anxious to the arrival of the black beauty II... can't wait, I drove the Touring and I was impressed, I don't know what to expect with the C... remember, I've been drive a 4 banger for the last 6 years

so that Maxima, RSX, and a few others that try me on my way to work, beware!!

Yesterday I raced the Chevy lumina SS Coupe which is the Pontiac GTO on your part of the world and from 0-100 KM/H I was a couple of feet ahead but as I reached 200 KM/H I didn't see him behind me I think he chickened out or something coz I didn't find him after that and I am very sure that he didn't pass me coz I know my C very well.

jamoleh,
I just DL'd some vids from Dubai. Extremely modded R33 and Supra racing a Hyabusa. The bike went down. Then the Skyline raced a Diablo...... the Diablo got smoked.
My C should arrive Tuesday. It's been a while since I drove a RWD car (1965 Ford Fairlane), but I'm used to the power. Got a modded GTP right now. Not sure of the HP, but it runs low 13 quarters. Can't wait to stretch the C's legs on the autobahn.
