No. Neither of us could hook up on the track. It was at the track 1/4 mile @ sparta in st thomas, ontario.

He didn't have the hp in the top end that I did. I pulled on him the entire length of the track.

It basically came down to me staying close to even in the 1st 60'. After that he was done.

For those that don't know, i have heads, cam, exhaust, diablo, cai.

I hosed all over a guy in a Saab 9-5 last night. Low pressure turbo, not the Aero, he didn't have a chance. It was fun though.
The night before I almost got beaten by a wrangler 4.0 I6, but the road was wet and I had a hell of a time hooking up.

Charger R/T

This guy was passing traffic like he was the only guy on the road until he pulled up behind me, I moved over to allow him to pass but he just stuck to my bumper like a real a$$hole, this went on for about ten minutes, all the time the pr1ck had a smugg grin on his face...I got tired so when we pulled up at the next set of lights I pulled out in the right lane right at the front of the lights, allowing him to pull up beside me, he did so and started revving hard, I looked across and shook my head...what a a-hole this guy was, when the lights change I hooked up really well, the pefect take off , by the time we reached the next set of lights (1/2 mile) I was so far ahead it was embarrasing so when he pulled up beside me I was holding my watch and gesturing what happened, guess what...the smug grin was gone and when the lights changed again I pulled away slow, so did he, he dissapeared in the traffic behind.

I was a bit annoyed that I let this guy wind me up to the point I raced him, but then again if I was a old man I would be driving a Prius!!!

Dodge Viper....yes you heard it Dodge Viper!!!! now before you all go crazy let me explain.

I was behind him in fairly busy traffic but it was very well spaced out, the car in front of the Viper indicated to turn, as he did the Viper took off from say 20mph up to 60mph, and I was stuck to his arse, then again the car in front of the bright red Viper turned off and again he gunned it, this time he REALLY gunned it, tire smoke, noise the lot!, again I was stuck to his arse, it was funning because there was a G35 stuck to my arse trying to provoke me prior to this, when he saw us dissapearing into the distance he seemed to lose heart and hung back, then the Viper had to turn off.

I know had we gone above the speeds we did the Viper would have smoked me, but It felt amazing to stick to the arse of one of those cars! i'm sure the Viper owner must have been surprised!!

In case some of you need a reminder, this thread is titled "What have you blown away."

Of course the term "Blown Away" can be subjective, but let's not get ridiculous.

Just telling you what happened I have no reason or desire to lie, perhaps it was a Viper kit car built from a VW Bettle donar car eh?

Agreed. A little perspective is needed.

BTW, I second the recipient of the wrongness award. The whole idea about a stick beating a properly set up auto is completely off base.

I have a killer 4L80E set up in a GM product with a little converter and it can rip off a shift in milliseconds!

The SRT8 with the Diablo and raised shiftboints is no slouch, either!

For the record, there's no way a stick gives you any advantage over a properly set up auto in a contest of accelleration.

I finally have my software! Happy Diablo owner.

My Favorite "old car"... 73 Super Duty 455 Trans Am - 13.08 @109 mph when brand new! Just try and find one now!

What the hell does your answer have anything to do with what he quoted?
